This was my 6th visit to this beautiful hotel and I cannot say enough about this wonderful hotel. The vibe is just as pleasant as can be and the owners are the friendliest people. I always have a good nights sleep when I come here (rare for me). The beds are so comfortable. The hotel is beautifully restored with so much... More

Another wonderful weekend in McCloud, CA. We stayed at Kevin and Darlene's McCloud Mercantile Hotel, in the Railroad Room with some friends and our lab. The rooms are very spacious, always clean and very cozy. The location is perfect: shops below, White Mtn Cafe is close and lots of parking. Everyone was friendly and engaging. We will be back.

Like the name implies, and old western-style hotel, with quaint, well-appointed rooms perched in the attic space above some shops. We will probably drop by McCloud in the future if only to stay in this colorful hotel.

This is a beautifully done bed and breakfast on the second story of the old mercantile. The owners did a great job. They are active in supporting the McCloud community and I am so thankful for what they are doing for McCloud. The rooms are perfectly done, character, charm and comfort, and there is a shared fridge, coffee pot, hot... More

We stayed 2 nights for a winter fishing trip with a bit of luxury instead of camping. This hotel is beautifully restored to historical styles with each room a different theme. We had a large room with a claw foot tub and a pretty gas fireplace that warmed the room really nicely. Beautiful bathroom with a double shower and nice... More

The hotel people were so great and friendly. A super place to stay. The room was clean and the hotel itself is so quirky with the old fashioned sweet shop and areas. The shops here are great too. We loved it here

As usual I embarked into what would be a wonderful weekend. Darlene and Kevin are wonderful owners. They have an incredible staff who kept my room tidy and clean. The breakfast each morning was filling and delicious. I have already booked myself for 3 more weekends. Please go. I suspect you won't regret it.

We spent two nights here recently, in Whisper's Den. We loved the room, the bed, the hotel, our huge breakfast as well as the quaint town. Darlene the owner, met us at our room, opening it up for us and adjusting the heat. We had our lab with us and felt quite at home with her. We were at the... More

We're so glad we stayed at this beautifully restored historic hotel! Just 15 miles off off I-5 near Shasta, it was absolutely awesome. Check in after hours harkened to simpler times and the restaurant served delicious, hearty breakfast in the morning. Was quite a bonus to have a $20 credit towards our breakfast! Will definitely stay again when we are... More

We are bicycle touring the northwest. We have stayed in hundreds of these older hotels over the last few years. This was a very good stay. The hotel is historic and you wouldn't expect much but the interior of the rooms have all been remodeled and bathroom fixtures are attractive, updated and work well. The positives: huge, clean room, good... More
