We spent a single night here on a hot July day. So happy we decided to take a chance and spend the night in this superbly restored old hotel. From the quaint store we checked in at to get our room keys to the nostalgic old fashioned diner we had our complimentary breakfast in, it all worked. We stayed in... More

This is the third time for us staying at the McCloud Mercantile Hotel. Previously we stayed in the 1940's and Railroad rooms. This time we chose the Arts & Crafts room. It is a very lovely room. We had 3 adults and all of us were very comfortable. The king bed was especially nice. The bathroom was spacious and included... More

Immediately takes you back to the era of the frontier with all the charm of the old west (but recently renovated to also include all mod cons). We had gg's attic room which was perfect with kids (an extra bed and right next to the small kitchen / living room). McCloud itself is a sleepy but charming little town with... More

We were traveling with our dogs and they have a wonderful room that allows dogs. It was named after the owners dogs that passed away after years of enjoyment. The room was clean and very nice. We totally enjoyed our stay & would like to stay there again.

This hotel is on the list of my all time favorites. Quaint, each room different and special. The scenery was beautiful. Our room was huge. The restaurant that offered breakfast was fantastic. I hope to stay here again someday.

My husband and I recently stayed in the Whisperer's Den room for one night then switched to the Friday George room for another night. We only did this because the Friday George room wasn't available for the two nights. The first room was not on their website but was offered to us to make our stay possible. The refrigerator in... We stayed in the Charles Miller room!! And it was just beautiful!! Everything was well kept and very clean!! And big enough for the family (all 4 of us) to stay at!! Excellent service!! They are very courteous and genuine when it comes to their customer's needs!! I recommend this hotel!! Aside from the hotel itself it is also attached... More

My Husband and 2 young boys, ages 7 and 10 found McCloud Mercantile Hotel on Trip Advisor. The prices were slightly more expensive than other choices near Mount Shasta, but well worth the price of $20 or $30 more dollars. The rooms have been exquistley restored and the attention to detail was such a delight. We have traveled many a... More

We spent one night here passing through on our way to Tahoe. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. As a history lover it was a real treat to stay here. The building is so unique and beautiful. I can't believe I'd even considered staying at a Best Western after stopping here! We arrived a little later but had... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Arts and Crafts suite. The room is very large and beautiful. Plenty of room for 3 to sleep very comfortably. The bathroom is huge with a large claw foot tub that is very nice. There is a tv across from the daybed with cable. The wireless works great anywhere.... More
