This hotel is on the list of my all time favorites. Quaint, each room different and special. The scenery was beautiful. Our room was huge. The restaurant that offered breakfast was fantastic. I hope to stay here again someday.

My husband and I recently stayed in the Whisperer's Den room for one night then switched to the Friday George room for another night. We only did this because the Friday George room wasn't available for the two nights. The first room was not on their website but was offered to us to make our stay possible. The refrigerator in... We stayed in the Charles Miller room!! And it was just beautiful!! Everything was well kept and very clean!! And big enough for the family (all 4 of us) to stay at!! Excellent service!! They are very courteous and genuine when it comes to their customer's needs!! I recommend this hotel!! Aside from the hotel itself it is also attached... More

My Husband and 2 young boys, ages 7 and 10 found McCloud Mercantile Hotel on Trip Advisor. The prices were slightly more expensive than other choices near Mount Shasta, but well worth the price of $20 or $30 more dollars. The rooms have been exquistley restored and the attention to detail was such a delight. We have traveled many a... More

We spent one night here passing through on our way to Tahoe. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. As a history lover it was a real treat to stay here. The building is so unique and beautiful. I can't believe I'd even considered staying at a Best Western after stopping here! We arrived a little later but had... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Arts and Crafts suite. The room is very large and beautiful. Plenty of room for 3 to sleep very comfortably. The bathroom is huge with a large claw foot tub that is very nice. There is a tv across from the daybed with cable. The wireless works great anywhere.... More

Our son was married in the hotel's great room Saturday afternoon and we spent the night. The bride and groom stayed in the Arts & Crafts room (close to the great room, parlor and stairs) and the girls used it for hair, makeup and childcare before the wedding. The whole set up for the event and guests was perfect. Everyone... More

I booked two nights here in one of the non-suite rooms, 208 Minnesota. It was a large room with a grand bathroom, light colored furnishings and wood floor. The bed was very comfortable with a thick down comforter. Without adequate snow there were few visitors so it was pretty quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the parlor and playing the games... More

We stayed her Memorial Day weekend 2014. We were surprised when greeted by a mushroom festival in the little town of McCloud (in front of the hotel). We stayed in the Railroad room and were able to sneak a peek at a couple of other rooms. All the rooms have such a sweet, unique charm. They have been restored very... More

Seriously - I don't need to lie on this update. I was able to take my lab with me to this perfectly beautiful place, they gave me special accomodations and I just go there to visit the mccloud falls and it ended up being the perfect trip. Totally going there again!
