Perhaps our nicest lodging experience ever. We visited for four nights in November 2014. A real sense of stepping back in time! If you want a really memorable getaway, in beautifully and uniquely designed rooms (we stayed in "Arts & Crafts") in a sleepy little town of 1000 very friendly people, this is the place. Darlene and Kevin (proprietors and... More

Great people beautiful room. All the amenities. very few people in the town this time of year which made it very quiet and nice. I love the mercantile store and the breakfast was great at the cafe, which was included in the room.

My husband and I stayed here, overnight, on our drive back up to Seattle from Los Angeles and we were both so pleased with our experience we felt the need to start up a tripadvisor account just so we could leave a review. First let me say that the people who work here are exceptionally friendly and seem to really... More

I've now been to the McCloud Mercantile Inn twice and both times the experience was top notch. I went once with a large group of girl friends as part of a Women On Wheels motorcycle organization getaway. The property works great for groups and they have a couple of areas where groups can congregate. Recently my husband and I had... More

I love this place! There is only one main building in this town, and it's the Mercantile Building. The building has a couple cafe/restaurants, some gift shops and then the hotel upstairs. The rooms are restored to keep the old feel, but clean and spacious. We went on a weekend couples trip and it was romantic! It's a great option... More

My husband and I were on his last weekend of deer hunting. We had planned on camping in our tent but due to rain (and age) decided to chance getting a room somewhere. The first night we stayed at our favorite fishing spot near Hat Creek/Old Station..the Hat Creek Resort. Luckily they were still open before they shut down for... More

Always enjoy myself here. Great historic building with friendly hosts and service. Love going to the corner cafe and eating breakfast with the locals. On my own schedule! Nice shops in mercantile for a bit of shopping and wonderful views of Shasta.

The owners are very nice and accommodating . I never thought that such a nice place would be in McCloud. Huge rooms beautiful large bathrooms. So much fun. We had a group of rooms and they are building a bar in what was an old butcher shop. Loved everything. I will go back. Also great food at the resturant next... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our way from Portland Oregon to Sacramento California. The building is an old mercantile store with deluxe guest rooms above it. Our room was extremely spacious and tastefully decorated. This was my first time having a river rock shower and flooring. Most of the walls were wood lathe and the furniture... More

I loved the experience. Room was super. The breakfast room down below and all the shops were adorable. The bed was comfortable. The picnic lunch we bought from the hotel was super. I am trying to fill 200 lines so I can submit this form.
