What a perfect retreat in a truly unique setting. Rich is a great host, and nearby activities (kayaking in the bay, cycling on Cal 1, hiking Tomales Point) are worth driving cross-country for! Cabin is perfect for a couple, but would be a bit compact for two couples unless they are VERY close friends...not much privacy for those bunking downstairs.... More

We just spent two nights in Ravensview Cottage, a peaceful and serene haven overlooking Tomales Bay. The Tomales Bay area is a spectacular destination, and on this visit, we did a lot of walking, including a hike around the cottage over wind-swept ridges, some self-guided trails near the National Seashore Visitors Center, and an awesome pilgrimage to the Point Reyes... What a wonderful and precious precious retreat Ravensview is. As soon as one arrives and drives up to the cottage a resonance of peace and tranquility wafts around and weaves a dreamlike quality around the weary traveller. If I was a writer, this would be my dream home to come and walk beside the gentle waters and have my heart... More

We stayed there 2 years ago, but the lovely cottage and our stay there still brings smiles to our faces. The cottage is charming with lovely decor. It accommodated our five person family - a little tight, but certainly comfortable. The owner, Rich, is a delightful person and full of information about the area, and the location is spectacular.

The view from the back of this cottage looks onto rolling grassy hills, lit gold in the late afternoon sun. From the front windows and decks you see Tomales Bay, changing color by the minute, now blue, now shrouded in gentle gray mists. A short walk takes you to Hog Island Oyster Company -- or there's the Marshall Deli, with... More

The pictures do not do Ravensview justice, it is a sanctuary that is one of the most special places I have ever visited. The cottage is cozy and lovingly decorated with everything you need and more. The jacuzzi off the bedroom looks out onto fields with nothing but cows and birds to keep you company. Just a short walk down... More

We were looking for an unplugged adult weekend in lovely Tomales Bay without the kids and found it at RavensView. The charm, environs and extremely relaxed pace were exactly what we needed. Our hosts could not have been nicer and were happy to share as much or as little about the area as we wished. If you like a lot... More

RavensView Cottage was even better than I expected - and I expected a lot. Cottage itself is wonderful - beautiful wood details, window above kitchen table with a view of the water, decorated with delightful character. The innkeepers are gracious and and thoughtful with spot-on restaurant and hiking recommendations, Dog Tiny welcomed us and made us feel at home. We... More

More charming than pictures can show, views to die for, no TV, no cell reception, hot tub with cows grazing a few yards away, a bear of a dog (AKA "Tiny) for a welcome party, truly dog-friendly, friendly and helpful "innkeeper"...quite simply lovely and relaxing. Spent the weekend hiking, cooking, and relaxing. It isn't cheap, but then nothing in Point... More

Arriving at Ravensview Cottage is like coming to a dear friend's home - the welcome is warm, the cottage is a cozy and comfortable jewel box, as if someone has anticipated your wishes. There are beautiful views from every window across Tomales Bay and to the hills surrounding it; the frig is stocked with local fare and organic veggies grow... More
