My boyfriend and I stayed here on our way to Yosemite National Park. We both loved it and wished we were staying longer. The staff are so nice, the food is amazing and the rooms and out door area are really picturesque! They are not large rooms and the bathroom and shower are definitely on the small side however nothing... More

We chose to stay here to escape the craziness of Yosemite. The drive into the national park is a nice mountain road with lovely views, but it does take a while IF that is a concern. We loved the graciousness of the staff and the large suite was super. We also loved Henry, the resident dog!

We stayed 3 nights at the River Rock Inn, and it was excellent. It was the perfect base for our stay in Yosemite. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, complete with the most fantastic homemade cakes. We stayed in one of the suite rooms and it was spacious and really well equipped, with very... More

I have taken so much time to express our opinion of the River Rock Inn and Deli Cafe as I cannot decide where to start. This was absolutely one of our favorite motels ever. The room was so amazingly clean and so wonderfully decorated. My Husband and I were so happy and comfortable here. The courtyard at the motel was... More

We are a couple with a 12yr old boy, and are so glad we chose The River Rock as out base camp for a visit to Yosemite! Let's get the only "con" over with right away - the bathroom is tiny. Clean, functional, recently tiled, but small. Done. Everything else about our stay was great. The corner suite we had... More

We looked for a not too expensive place outside Yosemite Park, but close enough to get into the park quickly. And this motel fitted the bill. Owner Vicky has created a quaint place with lots of charm and excellent food. Our room was not very big, but it provided a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The shower was... More

I had an enchanted weekend in the Yosemite area, in no small part due to this place. It was so sweet there I never even made it to Yosemite on the first day, just hung out on the property and read and relaxed and met people. First of all, the inn is an incredible value. But the real reason to... More

We stayed two nights in one of the suite-rooms because the room we had booked had a faulty loo. Suite was large, light and airy with plenty of space, two rooms knocked into one with two double sofas as well as bed, large vanity sink area with worktop and full sized mirror and bathroom with great powerful shower - the... We were on a 2+ week vacation and spending time in various hotels. This was my favorite. This place has so much personality. Our spacious room had two double beds and a long, narrow bath... not run-of-the-mill. There was also a small room with a mini-kitchen, of sorts. We didn't really use it as the Cafe was right there with... More

From the first contact, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome. The rooms were very nicely decorated, warm and cosy. And spotlessly clean! For once in a hotel : REAL shampoo and shower gel. Wifi was superfast, breakfast was outstanding with home-made muesli, muffins and cake.... We surely recommend this cosy place in Mariposa!
