We planned on going to Yosemite and started looking for hotel options early but still most were sold out! I am glad we stayed in Mariposa because it is a quaint little town with cute little shops, a great bar (The Alley), a great breakfast place (Sugar Pine Cafe) and really great dinner place (Charles Street). This hotel was like... More

We stumbled upon Mariposa and the Mariposa Hotel Inn by accident after a long day in Yosemite. It was perfect. Quaint, comfortable room. Really lovely owners. As Brits we were looking for a quaint little old fashioned "Main St USA" town, and that's exactly what we found here.

We used the MHI as a base for Yosemite, which is about 70 min drive away. The hotel is very old school. Each room is individually decorated with old world charm. The rooms are very clean. The bed was a little soft for me but that's personal preference. There is a tv in the room as well as free wifi.... More

114 years old with lots of characters and great inn keeper! Cute town and good food options..close by. Clean rooms and in heart of town! Worth the money and distance to the Park. Room 5 is like going back in time! Light breakfast is served in the am and good to start your day.

Was ever so excited when I booked this hotel after SEARCHING for somewhere to stay when we were planning two days in/around Yosemite! THIS place was perfect!! The reviews snagged me and I hope that you will trust that I LOVE a Marriott or Holiday Inn Express, but this was absolutely exquisite! Mary the operator of the hotel was warm... More

We loved our stay here, the owners were lovely and the room was decent sized. We stayed in Della's room and were right next to the balcony. The breakfast was very basic (fruit and muffin/pastry with yoghurt and orange juice) but we loved sitting on the balcony and watching the humming birds drink water from the pods. There is parking... I can honestly say that I have never stayed in a hotel like the Mariposa Hotel Inn, but that is a compliment, not a criticism. Although there are only six rooms, it has bags of charm and both the hotel and town itself evoke a bygone era. There is plenty of parking at the rear via both 5th or 6th... More

Mariposa Hotel Inn is on Main Street in downtown Mariposa. It is located at the top of a very steep set of stairs. The delightful owner, Mary, will greet you and after checking in will take you to your room. The rooms are decorated with antiques and ours had a comfortable queen sized bed with a very large bathroom. Mary... More

Stayed in this hotel for one night during my visit at Yosemite. Was looking for a place to stay inside the park but could not find one. I liked this hotel very much. It's located on the main road with lots of dinning options. The room was very clean and comfortable. The down side - the air conditioning in noisy... More

This is a small Hotel in the main street of Mariposa. We stayed here while visiting Yosemite National Park. Rooms are decorated in a style to suit the age of the building - you could imagine gold miners staying here after striking it rich. Breakfast is provided - juice, tea and coffee, fruit and pastries. The owners are very friendly... More
