The beds were comfortable, rooms adequately roomy, bathrooms commodious, landscape beautiful, and staff, helpful and personal. The Charles Street and Sugarpine Cafes they recommended each within 1 block were extraordinarly good. All for a price far below most other alternatives this close to Yosemite.

Was on a motorcycle trip to "close the passes" before heavy snow winter closure. Rates were much more sane then other lodging in town. Clean quiet rooms with parking at the front door. Great helpful staff. Close to all needed food and drink establishments. Will be making it our base camp next time we are in Mariposa. It was off... More

We stayed one night at this hotel while on a road trip through the area. Overall, we were happy enough with our stay, and would stay there again. The room was clean and comfortably furnished, though the king bed was a bit soft if you have a bad back. The room was quite large -- almost too large. The TV... More

I had one fabulous night and two terrible nights here. Let me tell you why. First they put us in an old big (lots of wasted space) room nowhere near a garden (they advertised near a garden) that smelled like a locker room/dorm with the TV (old tube like) far away from the bed, torn old rug, old looking comforters,... There's no much to write about this place - it's just an average hotel, perfect if you're on your way to Yosemite and you just need to stay here for one night. The room was nice and cozy, front desk staff was helpful and polite, parking lot was spacious (and free) and the ice machine was working perfectly ;) What... More

Mariposa Lodge aka Americas Best Value Inn was comfortable and quiet. The room was clean with a Micro, Refrigerator, Ironing board and Coffee maker. Our room was LARGE. Large is good if the TV is also large. It is about 20 feet from the head of the bed to the TV. For a smaller TV that is a long way... More

This lodge is simple but clean and close to Yosemite, thus our choice. The room was comfortable, had everything we needed, bathroom was good, shower, too. The only problem and it's a huge one, is that the walls are paper thin and we had a family with children next to us, really really noisy. We had to turn on the... More

We checked in late as we didn't leave San Francisco until close to 6 pm. The gentleman that checked us in was so helpful! He told us that we should stop to purchase water and snacks at the local grocery store so we didn't end up paying $4 for a banana inside the park, he warned us about the potential... More

Stayed for 2 nights when visiting Yosemite. Spacious room with small balcony and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Mariposa is worth a look around especially the museum, very folksy, and the courthouse. Very good value.

I appreciated other reviews on this place and I resonate with what many people said. It's a simple, comfortable, Yosemite National Park and surroundings. Staying in Mariposa meant that we needed to drive in every day, but the drive was fine and our stay was comfortable and very reasonably priced. The noise level from the road was negligible, especially since... More
