This was great deal! Large, clean room, pretty grounds, helpful staff, in close proximity to Yosemite. It is not a five-star hotel but we have no regrets or complaints at all. We also got a discount by signing up with Americas Best Value Inn before making our booking. Worth every penny.

Actually this is the only really locally owned place in Mariposa. It's not a tourist trap and it's not dingy or run down like some of the other properties nearby. Clean, great staff and you can walk to all the places you want to be. It's a real bang for the buck in Mariposa.

Out of our trip to the states, this little town, it's people and it's shops we will never forget. It is quaint, quiet and clean. The hoteliers were friendly and very accommodating. If we were to go back through mariposa, we would be staying here again.

Hotel was a little old, swimming pool was too small and there was no continental breakfast. And those were the only downsides that I could remember. We stayed there for three nights and the experience was very nice. Clean rooms serviced daily, nice courtyard, good secure parking, very close from eating places in the town, free wifi. Yosemite is just... More

We love this hotel! We always get a good quiet room (that we request), everything is always clean, clean! The rooms are very large, updated! And talk about comfortable beds!!! By far the best! We have always just loved staying here, the service is great, helpful! The value is unbeatable! And to boot- it's across from Charles Street! We wished... More

This hotel was bit outdated, but all the furniture were kept in good shape and room was clean. There was no breakfast included in the room price, but there were 2-3 good breakfast places withing few hundred meter radius. We visited Yosemite by bus, higly recommended as the busstop is very near the lodge. (http://www.yarts.com/)

We spent two nights here during a visit to Yosemite National Park, which is a little over an hour away. Rooms 115 & 117 are both very large and well-appointed with a fridge, TV and microwave. The rooms were obviously a little older but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. We arrived pretty late on the first night... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in early August as the sixth stopover on our Vegas to San Francisco road trip , The Mariposa Lodge is ideally located both for a stay in Mariposa & I guess the main reason people stay- the magnificent Yosemite NP which is a very pleasant hour or less drive from this location, as most... The beds were comfortable, rooms adequately roomy, bathrooms commodious, landscape beautiful, and staff, helpful and personal. The Charles Street and Sugarpine Cafes they recommended each within 1 block were extraordinarly good. All for a price far below most other alternatives this close to Yosemite.

Was on a motorcycle trip to "close the passes" before heavy snow winter closure. Rates were much more sane then other lodging in town. Clean quiet rooms with parking at the front door. Great helpful staff. Close to all needed food and drink establishments. Will be making it our base camp next time we are in Mariposa. It was off... More
