Mariposa Lodge aka Americas Best Value Inn was comfortable and quiet. The room was clean with a Micro, Refrigerator, Ironing board and Coffee maker. Our room was LARGE. Large is good if the TV is also large. It is about 20 feet from the head of the bed to the TV. For a smaller TV that is a long way... More

This lodge is simple but clean and close to Yosemite, thus our choice. The room was comfortable, had everything we needed, bathroom was good, shower, too. The only problem and it's a huge one, is that the walls are paper thin and we had a family with children next to us, really really noisy. We had to turn on the... More

We checked in late as we didn't leave San Francisco until close to 6 pm. The gentleman that checked us in was so helpful! He told us that we should stop to purchase water and snacks at the local grocery store so we didn't end up paying $4 for a banana inside the park, he warned us about the potential... More

Stayed for 2 nights when visiting Yosemite. Spacious room with small balcony and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Mariposa is worth a look around especially the museum, very folksy, and the courthouse. Very good value.

I appreciated other reviews on this place and I resonate with what many people said. It's a simple, comfortable, Yosemite National Park and surroundings. Staying in Mariposa meant that we needed to drive in every day, but the drive was fine and our stay was comfortable and very reasonably priced. The noise level from the road was negligible, especially since... More

We stayed here for four nights whilst visiting Yosemite. The room we had was huge, very clean and quiet. There was a lovely little pool area too which was nice to sit at and cool down after a long day at the park, which is a 40 minute drive to the park entrance from Mariposa. The town of Mariposa is... We had an upstairs room in a 2-story part. The room was large (probably the largest we encountered on our holiday), but felt dim and old. Not fusty or worn, just dark and featureless. Having said that, it was well-fitted, not in need of any repairs, adequate strorage space, bathroom fine. Parking right outside the door. Mariposa isn't large, you... More

It's weird for me to have four (!) locks on my door, but the bed/pillows were perfect, everything was clean, there was a hand written note from housekeeping, the grounds are welcoming especially the huge zinnias, and you can walk everywhere from the location. I'd stay there again if we were in town. I agree with bajan64: I couldn't get... More

My husband and I were in Mariposa for a reunion . We had a friend with us also and were able to find a unit with two bedrooms at this motel. We found the unit unsatisfactory. It had missing tiles on the bathroom counter, the tiniest bathroom with no towel bars, no clothes bars in the closets and was very... More

I keep wishing that TripAdvisor had a "Good" rating - they force you to choose between "Average" and "Very Good" which annoying. Anyway, this place has large comfy beds and great linens for a hotel. The staff is courteous and the place is a step from your normal lodge/motel. We just stayed one night, but it is about 45 minutes... More
