Newly converted from Courtyard, hotel felt clean but outdated in some aspects for the DoubleTree brand. They look to be continue their conversion work, so that is a good sign. Location is OK for the Marina area, The Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn down the road is a better location for the "Marina" Lifestyle.

good news, it's a standard courtyard type hotel, clean sheets, etc. Lots of mediocre things: internet connect was TERRIBLE and inconsistent. I called the front desk and they could not care less. There has been a total renovation since Hilton took over this establishment and whatever they spent was well worth to the guest. Large, lovely and well appointed guest rooms are very welcoming, as is the staff. Behold: simple wi-fi that is free and easy to access. The only thing missing is a free shuttle to LAX.

I was thoroughly disappointed in the parking fee and the fact that they are now charging to use the bicycles. This had always been free with the hotel room. The room charges I believe have gone up and extra charges for the parking and bikes puts this facility out of financial range for me, for what you get.
