We stayed for one night at the Marine Dunes Resort on our way down the Pacific Coast Highway. We paid $100.00 through Priceline. We were checked into a ground floor resort just behind the pool. Unfortunately, our view was of the other rooms though the beach was a few minutes walk away. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. The... More

This was a nice place, but much farther from Monterey than we expected (10 miles). We stayed in a junior suite and it was pretty spacoius. The beach was nearby and they had a pool, kiddie pool and spa. I didn't find the staff to be overly friendly at check in. Also, be aware that you will also have to... More

Pleasant experience from booking through check-out. We enjoyed using the golf carts to get around the resort. The room was comfortable and we were surprised by the bottle of wine for my birthday. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this resort as a fun and relaxing get away.

This place truly makes you feel like you’re on vacation! My boyfriend and I were there on a romantic getaway in a room facing the ocean. I booked a room right after reading the high rated reviews on this website and all the positive things people have said are true! Everything from a friendly staff, personal golf cart to quickly... This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this resort and I'm even more impress than the last. They have renovated the bathroom and put in new tiles and changed the sinks to his and hers. I love this place. We went with another couple that has never been to Carmel before and they thought the experience at this... More

My wife and I stayed here two nights mid-week. We purchased through Priceline ($100.00 per night.) When we arrived, the fact I had used Priceline was brought to my attention by a somewhat chilly receptionist. Thinking that the occupancy rate must be aroun 50%, I asked if an ocean view room was available. I was offered one for $30.00 per... More

Marina Dunes is a fantastic, private, romantic, relaxing, soothing, boutique type hotel. I only wish that I was not there on a business trip. The room was clean, warmly decorated, quiet, fairly easy to get to (despite the golf cart--which was kind of fun to drive around). The pictures on their website of the rooms really look exactly like the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Marina Dunes. We were there for four days. We had a 'dunes view junior suite' which really was an ocean front unit that had plenty of ocean view. (603S) We paid $135 a night plus a $15 fee per night for a dunes preservation fee. We called the hotel and dickered for a... More

Our room shared a hallway with other guests who held a loud party. No one was on duty at the desk to remedy the situation. The beautiful natural setting and peaceful sound of the waves was spoiled by the music from the next unit. It defeated the purpose of getting away from the noisy city. We got no satisfaction from... This was a nice stay. The rooms were very clean, and we had a beautiful ocean view. Check in was quick and easy, and it was fun to have a golf cart to drive around the property. I would say this is probably a 3.5 star resort instead of a 4. It has so much potential with its location that... More
