This hotel does needs a bathroom remodel, but the really bad thing for us was the super soft mattress. The hotel did try very hard to find a room for us, and even brought in a big piece of plywood that they put under the mattress, but it didn't help. We never spent the night and they did refund our... more

I wanted to like this place. The location cannot be beat and it was QUIET- something hard to find in any hotel, but even harder in extended stay-type places with more than 2 rooms, because they tend to attract larger families who typically are louder than a single business person on a trip. I can't say I enjoyed my stay... more

I was very pleased with this hotel. It was comfortable. The room was updated and nice. My only complaint was the their was a loud party in the room next to ours that lasted till 3 am in the morning. The security guard came and went a couple times, but appeared to be on friendly terms with the occupants, and... more

Dear TravelForFunDeerPark: Thank you very much for sharing your most recent experience at Manhattan Beach. We spoke the morning after the loud neighbors and I once again want to apologize for having had to endure that. We want our guests to have a truly enjoyable stay, which is why enforce a strict no disturbance policy. While the security guards may...

We stayed in Room #1124 and the only complaint we had is that the door to our unit stuck and was very hard to open. We did love the penthouse with the loft and the separate bedroom. This room is great for a family of four or more. There were also two full bathrooms, which make it easier for everyone... more

We had an 18-hour layover in LAX. This is too long for just sitting on the bed and watching TV. So the question was: Where can we go shopping near LAX without a car? I’ve found 2 malls near LAX. Culver City / Fox Hills Mall are not really in my favorite part of town so it was Manhattan Beach.... more

We stayed here one night in March, 2009 as we had a 6:30 AM flight out of LAX Airport. Residence Inn is our preferred hotel and we found this one in Manhattan Beach to be typical of the very nice accommodations and great level of service we've come to expect from Marriott. We had the penthouse suite which featured a... more

I stayed in a Junior Penthouse Suite at Residence Inn, Manhattan Beach on March 11-13 & again on March 15-17, 2009. Both experiences were outstanding. The rooms were affordable, quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with different warm foods each day. There was a fantastic reception from 5:30-7:30, Mon.-Wed. There is complimentary internet access that works without complication.... more

We stayed at this hotel from 3/7-3/10 in one of the two bedroom/two bath rooms. There were 5 adults and the Penthouse had plenty of room and the kitchen came in handy for snacks. The only negative is the pull out couch is not the most comfortable for an adult. We ended up taking the mattress and putting it on... more

Well located and only just over a mile from the beach. It is a good walk with many bars/restaurants and shops en route. There is a good cross section of restaurants and specialist shops. All runners should check out Village Runner - one block from the hotel - 1840 Sepulveda Blvd and the run to the beach and back is... more

Stayed here for a few days in early January. While I wanted to stop in LA for a couple days, I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with LA proper after a long trans-Pacific flight, so I chose to stay in Manhattan Beach. What a great decision! The only thing I can say that I found difficult about the Residence... more
