Ireland,Family of four. We stayed here for 3 nights and what a disappointment it was. The room was small, you can hear the people walking in the room up stairs, (ceilings are wafer thin) the hotel do have music on in the hall as there was not enough noise plus you can hear the traffic because the hotel does not have... We stayed at the Belamar to celebrate our anniversary. First impression? As you're driving up to this pricey hotel, it looks just like an older hotel... non descript, beige, off the busy Pacific Coast Highway, and just average. You pull up to the front and a valet rushes you, hands you a ticket, and drives off- All without saying a... More

My husband and I went to Manhattan Beach to visit friends, and decided to stay at the Belamar after reading reviews that said it was close to LAX, and had a two mile bark path to the beach. We had time to do some exploring on our own. This is a small hotel tucked into a corner of a neighborhood,... More

Things we liked about this hotel: 1) Patrick the valet/bellboy was very friendly and always willing to help us out. 2)Gabriel the bartender was chatty and entertaining. 3) The rooms were clean. Reasons we would probably not come back to this hotel: 1)The hotel was severely understaffed. We would call the front desk and nobody would answer, because the desk... More

Overall, I would say I enjoyed my stay at the Belamar. For us, the location was pretty good. The interstate was was easily accessible and there were plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Even though it was further south than Santa Monica, there was less traffic and so it took less time to get out of Manhattan... More

I had a terrific experience at the Belamar! I booked via priceline and got a great rate, but having read some of the reviews here, I was a little concerned. Thankfully, I didn't see any of the problems others have written! I was initially given a room immediately next to the lobby and elevators, but was allowed to tour a... More

Our review is very similar to the previous one, although we had no stench. The Belamar has been redone, so the rooms and lobby are trendy looking and in good condition. But they are also a bit small and dark-- lighting is at a minimum. The staff was nice but seemed like novices. The location is convenient, but the hotel... More

If you get a bargain-priced room on Hotwire or Priceline, this place isn't bad, but it is not nearly as stylish and upscale as their website would have you believe. The beds are nice, but there was a knock-ya-down stench in our hallway--it was there when we arrived, it was there the next day when we checked out. The complimentary... More

We stayed at the Belamar for 2 nights while on a family vacation (we had stayed there earlier, about 2 years ago). The hotel is being renovated, and the restaurant was closed. They still had room service, which was of excellent quality. The rooms are in need of improvement -- ours had spots on the carpet and a mediocre patch... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my girlfriend. We got this hotel via priceline.com. Price was good, not sure if I'd pay full price though. The hotel is pretty close to the airport (about 3.5 miles away/10 minute car ride), but far enough that you will not hear any planes flying over. Check in was a breeze, though... More
