We stayed at the Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach during a trip around Southern California for a night. Upon arriving we were very impressed with the service. Everyone was very friendly, and answered all our questions right away. The hotel is very trendy and well decorated. The rooms aren't very big, but are well decorated, and the beds are very... more

The lobby of the Belamar was welcoming, light and spacious. It felt like it was a beach hotel. The hotel is actually about 1 mile from the beach, by a pleasant pathway. The valet/bellman staff were helpful and pleasant. One of them helped me find the parking brake release on my rental car. The next day he also pointed out... more

We stayed here to explore the neighborhoods- moving here soon. The staff was very friensly upon checking in. I love the touch of apples, cookies, and that wonderful fruit infused water, along with free newspapers, in the lobby. Our room's style was different than you'd get at a run-of-the-mill holiday inn or similar- it had style all the way down... more

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel for business in April, 2009. It was described to me as a boutique hotel experience as oppossed to the big hotel type experience. While this is true to a certain extent, my expectations (especially for the prices they charge) was much higher. Upon approaching the hotel, I was very surprised. The hotel looked... more

After reading the reviews I'd expected a lot more than what we got. We bought the King Deluxe from Expedia and when we got there, they gave us a traditional king on the 3rd floor. Like may others said, the 3rd floor smells like natural gas and I asked where the robes were and they brought one up. Then I... more

I was there for three nights and would highly recommend staying at this hotel; everything was fantastic. I'd like to mention that the room and linens smelled "fresh" like clothes smell when they are dried outdoors. Quiet stay, friendly hotel personnel. Manhattan Beach is 1 mile away. You can walk to it on sidewalks through a nice neighborhood. They also... more

For the past few years I have always checked what other travelers had to say on Trip Advisor and have found it very helpful. This is the first time that I have felt the need to write a review of my own. My husband and I live in the area, but needed to be out of our condo for at... more

In my situation, I did not actually stay at the hotel, but had quite a complicated experience with a reservation. I booked a night at The Belamar when doing a stopover at LAX. However, things changed rather quickly due to a family emergency and I canceled my reservation with 2 weeks anticipation. When I finally got home I found that... more

Our family of four (children ages 19 & 12) just returned from a perfect weekend in Manhattan Beach spent at the Belamar Hotel. This hotel was booked for us by a third party and was a gem! Neatly tucked into a residential neighborhood, one would never guess it was located across the street from a mall with movie theaters and... more

Booked hotel through third-party website. Very pleased with value received and facilities provided. The free valet service saves $19 a day that are charged at other area hotels. Check in was quick and efficient as was baggage handling to room. Free wireless was available( not used) and free internet / printer use (first floor) to print out boarding passes was... more
