Walking along the shore at sunset being followed by a family of jumping dolphins and walking up to the sparkling Pacific, with seagulls overhead and seals playing in the waves - OH MALIBU. We reserved this spot 7 months in advance, because if you want to camp here in the summer, when it is an absolute dream land, you MUST.... More

Camping right on the beach; literally at the shoreline. Not far out of LA. It can get very windy, so make sure you really stake down your tent (we lost an enclosed pop up tent). A lot of people come here with RVs. This place can be very noisy, so keep that in mind, but it's absolutely worth it being... More

Great camping on the beach. Whales, seals, tons of seabirds. Fantastic hiking trails across the highway. Park your RV, trailer, or tent camp on the beach. Can be a bit windy. no hookups but there are a few water facets available to fill up your tanks. No assigned spots. Just find a place and enjoy. :) Great spot. $30 a... More

We rented an RV and took our 6 year old son camping for the first time. We stayed local so that we could experiment to see what the RV vacation would be like. We had 2 other RVs with us with friends (who own them) and suggested the location to us. It was a great choice for a first time.... More

Sleep right next to the waves!!!! I live only 40 minutes south of this beach at Point Mugu in Ventura County..and its awesome for a stay-cation. We went on a Thursday night in October and we were able to reserve a site no problem. The weekend is usually booked in advance. The best sites for tent are to the right... More

This is essentially group camping with a bunch of strangers. The campground is right on Pacific Coast Highway and you parallel park in basically what is a narrow parking lot. The sand is immediately to the campers right and the beach is just a stone's throw away. Most of the spaces don't grant direct access to the water as the... More

Our visit was a 2 night family camping trip that took place on an unseasonably warm weekend in October. I merely pulled up in an RV and parked right next to the sandy beach, while other members of my party pitched tents on said beach. Later that night, due to the extreme winds blowing, we took in a few extra... More

I thought it would be a great idea to camp right on the beach. It sounded so unbearably romantic. Watching the sunset. Huddling close to the fire pit and eating dinner al fresco. Falling asleep in a cozy tent and listening to the waves crashing onto the beach. Unfortunately, the reality is at Thornhill Broome you get the beach and... More

We travelled the coast by RV and spotted this campground by satellite view. It is right on the beach! We pulled off hwy 1 and pulled into site # 2, opened the door and there was the picnic table, fire ring and Ocean. It was awesome! Very windy and chilly but the morning was great, having coffee in our beach... More

If live in and around Ventura County and you don't want to drive far this is a great place to stay. It's not a swimmers beach because there are a lot of rocks in the water. But its a great kids beach. Lots of area to play in the sand. My 2 grandsons that are 3 & 1 loved it.... More
