I’ve been to the Biggest Loser Resort several times, and it is amazing. Yes, the program is difficult but that’s what required if you want to see change. You stay in rooms, which are trailers, but the accommodations are actually very nice. It’s not the Ritz, but hopefully you don’t sign up for this thinking it’ll be a relaxing vacation.... More

I am 71 years old and signed up for 2 weeks here, hoping to lose some weight and get in better shape. I spent a lot of time filling out forms about my various physical limitations and medications, none of which mattered in the end. The grounds are dirt, no paving, sidewalks, or grass. The rooms are trailers, very minimal,... More

This place saved my life. I had retired from a stressful career but was depressed and missing work. I had barely left the house for almost 4 months. I had gained 40 pounds. I had a history of weight struggles and was afraid I was going to keep putting on weight. I was staying up all night and sleeping all... More

Great experience with results. The staff was top notch and we learned so many different workout options and enjoyed the daily hikes. Rooms and grounds were well kept. The Chef did a great job with the food. There is an option to stay longer than one week. Consider that option if you can. They provide you with the tools to... More

I hate the name but atleast anyone who has seen the show will get the concept. Low calorie diet and lots of exercise equals weight loss. This is a resort so I will describe the different parts. If this was just a hotel it would get 2 stars as the rooms/cabins are very basic as they are designed for 1... More

I was around 275 when I arrived. Two weeks later I had lost ten pounds but gained at least 5 in muscle. Half a year later I'm down to 240. I went from being relatively sedentary to doing 20 mile hikes and eating my vegetables. This is about a lifestyle change -- not a diet program. If you're looking for... More

The setting: The property is on a ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains. This is in Malibu, but a good fifteen minute drive to the beach. Consequently, you will only see the beach one time a week, although, some of the hikes offer views of the ocean. Most hikes offer views of mountains and valleys. The resort, more of a... More

First of all, I'm not a hiker. Correction, I never hiked before my week at the BLR at Fitness Ridge, Malibu, California. I have been frustrated the last few years, having had my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer. Finding myself slowly gaining weight and losing control of my life. I was never a couch potato...always pretty active. I play... More

The week I spent at Fitness Ridge Malibu exceeded my expectations. The week was all about me and my overall well being. I went alone but never once felt alone, I met a great group of people of all ages, shapes and sizes all with the same mindset! I found all the staff at Fitness Ridge to be very friendly,... More

I first went to the resort in Utah and after being a couch potato I would say they really got me up and moving and the food was good. I wanted to try out their new (at the time) Malibu resort and found it to not be as personable as the Utah resort. It costs a lot to go here...... More
