I have been twice to the full week program but this was my first 4.0 experience. While both programs operate with the same philosophy (clean eating, vigorous exercise) there are some notable differences. I will try to compare and contrast the program for those considering the two options: The 4.0 program takes place in the Westlake Village Four Seasons hotel... More

Spent two weeks at the Ranch from Feb 15 to 28, 2015. It was the best money I have ever spent. Hiked 140 miles (120 at the Ranch on 20 miles between the two Saturdays I had in Santa Monica), lost 10.5 pounds, reinvigorated my mind, body, and soul. I had left The Ranch being 100% ready to take on... More

i did not love the ranch. to be honest, i'm not sure why. the intention is there. the property is lovely. the people know their stuff. no detail is left undone. i love how my jeans now fit, but i really found the ranch to be a bit of a disappointment. some of my major complaints: not one of the... I just spent a week at The Ranch and feel totally rebooted. In Malibu, yet quite remote, The Ranch has up to 18 or so guests at a time. We came together as total strangers, yet left as friends. We hiked everyday, rain or shine (and two days were pretty strenuous with lots of rain), we woke up together at... More

The Ranch is the place for you if you truly want to see and feel results, and are willing to put it the effort. This programme is rigorous. We were a group of ten people, all solo participants from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations. The programme is structured. Wake up at 5:30, stretch class at 6, hike four hours a... More

It is hard to exactly describe what the one week experience at the ranch is, it's not a spa, it's not a hotel, it's not a fitness program... It is a wellness program based on 5-6 hours of intense hiking a day, plus nutritionally balanced food and a program that is so well structured you leave this place completely renewed.... More

I returned recently from a week at the Ranch. My objective was to get refocused for 2014, change some wellness habits and enjoy the outdoors. All accomplished at the Ranch. I had never done anything like this before and the experience taught me I can push myself harder. But don't be fooled; the Ranch is not a spa and lots... More

My week at The Ranch was the first vacation I've ever taken by myself. It really was an enlightening experience. I actually loved the fact that there was no cell phone reception and that we didn't have access to the Internet 24/7. It was healthy for me to remove myself from the "digital world" for a week. This "isolation" factor... More

I had the great honor and pleasure to do the 4.0 program, and it was definitely a life transforming event. It enforced discipline that required me to utilize a clean diet and by the final day I had a great sense of clarity within my mind. I would recommend that anyone who can possible get away either for a full... More

Everything here is first class. The program is tough and requires some discipline but it is possible for almost everyone to participate fully. The food was amazing, even if you are not used to vegetarian diets and one barely was hungry. The facilities were luxury hotel level in a beautiful environment, but perhaps the best of all was the quality... More
