Really enjoyed family camping at this campground. Site we had was very nice and clean when we arrived. We enjoy tent camping and found that our site was good for this. Our site was about 80 feet away from the Bow River so the scenery was fantastic. On a side note for helpful staff, kids left interior light on in... More

We stayed here for 5 days after 4 days at tunnel mountain in banff. Bow valley was way better - bathrooms and showers in banff were filthy in banff, bow valley was nice and clean. Many of the sites at bow valley are nicely treed. There is also a 4.5 km paced bike trail which is excellent for kids. Loop... More

We travelled with family for 5 nights and had 3 sites together. (LoopA 29,30,31). Great location across from the river. There were no sites across the road from us so the location was quiet and the view uninterrupted. The shower house was a short walk from our location and was well cleaned. The outhouses were well kept and the odour... More

Ok place to spend a few nights. Most sites have power and water and sani-dump on the road into camp ground.Staff at check-in not friendly and need some coaching on customer service other than that stay was fine.

We stayed there for a week as base point for a little Canmore/Banff exploring. The campground is well laid out with hookups at most spots. There is a small convenience store if you run out of essentials. The area is beautiful. Close to the river. The showers on site were okay. Could have been a tad cleaner and it would... More

This site is fine for trailers but not for tenting if you have a larger family tent. We set up our tents beside the gravel pad on the semi-grassy area because the pad was way too small to accommodate a tent, vehicle and the picnic table and fire-pit. If we had managed to put the tent on the pad, it... More

Bow valley is one of the nicest campgrounds I've been to! It's quiet, clean, gorgeous and staff are friendly and helpful. If you have kids please be advised there is no lake or beach. The river is quite cold but all in all great experience!

The campground is great. Great trails all around, beautiful scenery no matter where you look. Perfect proximity to Canmore and Banff. Loop F is very open (concrete jungle) but the rest is well treed and private sites. You can vaguely hear the highway in the distance, although not enough to keep you up at night. We will definitely be back.

There is something for everybody here. Private walk in campsites, big rig sites, pull throughs and all have access to water and over 130 sites have power and water. Outhouses in the camping loops are clean and the shower is hot and good pressure. Overall a wonderful campground with beautiful views, fishing and trails. The only downside is the sound... More
