We stayed in a large upstairs cabin with a kitchen. There were four of us and it was very spacious. It is a lovely spot, a short walk to the river. Also, we were rafting with All Outdoors, and that is just next door. There is no near breakfast, though, so be sure to bring stuff with you.

We stayed in room #3 one night 8/30/13 before our rafting trip. The room is spacious with 3 beds which worked well for our group. The beds are pretty hard and It's a bit rustic but a huge step up from camping so I was happy. My only real complaint was the toilet was full of ants, and they seemed... More

My friends and I stayed at the Lotus Inn this past weekend while on a rafting trip. We stayed in Room #3 upstairs (with 2 Queen-size beds in the bedroom and 1 day-bed in the living area). I thought the place was adorable and perfectly sufficient. The kitchen wasn't fully stocked (no cutting board, good knives, etc.) and only the... More

Our family of five stayed in Room #3 of this three room establishment. The cost was $139 plus taxes and the room actually could fit 6. You can walk down to the river and as noted the restaurant next door is awesome, one of the top meals I've eaten in the last few years. It was a mile or so... More

Did a rafting getaway last month. Stayed overnight at the Lotus Inn. It was well-located (right on the river), clean and comfortable. And it was right next door to our river rafting outlet. In addition, there is a very good restaurant connected to the Inn, called Cafe Mahjaic. The food was great!

We just wanted to "crash" after a day on the river. It was so close to the river that we didn't have to drive far. The plus was, it had an amazing restaurant on site that we were lucky enough to get a table on a Saturday night. The location and convenience outnumbered the fact that there wasn't a TV!... More

My parents visit each year to do a rafting trip on the American River and I am always trying to find a place for them to stay. Last year they stayed here and it was OK, but they have recently renovated some of the rooms. Super cute now and I love how they decorated. My husband and I loved visiting... More

The Lotus Inn is absolutely horrible. There's nothing about the place that's worth recommending. Honestly, it made us laugh since that's all we could do. It had so many things wrong with it that I won't even enumerate. However one thing that was worth noting is that our room was very dirty. Thick black dust on the fan blades, mold... More

Crummy room. No tables or counter space; the cheap a clock was on the floor. No chairs, no TV, no phone, no nothing. A sink in one room, the closet in another (closet door were unattached and leaning in the closet). The bathroom separated the two sleeping rooms. The windows were painted shut; had to use a tiny wall air... More

No phone in room. No TV. No door separating bathroom from bedroom, only a curtain! Poor lighting. No drinking glasses. Only 1 small bar of soap. No decent breakfast. Out of the way location, about a mile from Hwy. 49. Located in dull area.
