We stayed here to go white water rafting with Sierra White water rafting company. The camp ground us packed with tents. It located on the river and a great place to float. The general store has everything. A couple sets of bathrooms and Fred showers. Cabins are available for rent as well. We stayed in the camp that is actually... More

The good - Wonderful swimming and place to float in the water. Ideal for rafting as there are tours that launch from there. The staff is accomodating and baked goods in the morning wonderful. Bathrooms and showers are kept very clean and campground is in general very well maintained. Campsite equiped with fire pit, picnic table, running water and electric.... More

Such an awesome time. Great family campground along the South Fork of the American River, CA. Use Action Whitewater Rafting! Amazing staff, and guides are amazing. Plus, they cook for you. Nom nom nom. Oh, FREE HOT showers too! A place to relax and unwind.

Awesome place to spend a weekend.  Things to know: 1) Very central for rafting.  Many of the rafting companies operate nearby or even in the campground.  2) The owners are very serious about the quiet times and no dog policies.  They patrol and make sure things get quiet at 10pm. 3) Tons of 20-something outdoor enthusiasts.  They can be loud,... We just camped and partied at Camp Lotus all weekend for friends' anniversary. About 80 people and we had loads of camp sites and cabins. There was plenty of room for us to cook, eat, talk, and dance. During the day, people went rafting, kayaking, hiking and just sitting by the river. All in all it was very peaceful, very... More

We stayed for a night because we were just passing through. The main sign on route 49 says "one mile". When you get to the stop sign at one mile there is another sign that states, "one mile". We didn't mind because it appeared to be secluded. It's $9 Per Person! We found a decent spot, "A" to be close... More

Absolutely terrible camping experience here at Camp Lotus. I am so eager to leave my feedback that I am writing this the moment I got home. First the few good things about this camp: 1. It is close to Coloma and the Marshall Gold Discovery Park 2. The shop has quite a good selection of gear and merchandise and are... More

This place does NOT have an enforcer to enforce rules. Quiet time is between 10 pm - 8 am which isn't quiet at all. Some people stay up to 4 am!!! I would advise to have a grassy area or a not so bumpy place, and make sure you have some space, and have some privacy. Otherwise from the bad... More

Spent 9 days camping here with my son and it was wonderful. Bill and his staff are amazing and always ready to help with any problem. The grounds are beautiful, right on the American River. Bathrooms are clean and the small store is stocked with anything you need or forgot. The place to camp in the Coloma/Lotus area.

My family and I wanted to camp over the long weekend and wanted to be near the river so after checking out tripadvisor, I decided Camp Lotus may be a nice place. It is close to Marshall Gold Discovery Park and right next to the American River. Here are the good and bad of Camp Lotus: Good: Yes, it is... More
