The Carlyle Inn was fantastic. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Beverly Hills area. The entire hotel staff was very committed to making sure we had what we needed. The Courtyard is beautiful and they have a cozy sundeck. The complimentary breakfast is above and beyond what we expected. The host even went out of her... more

We stayed at this place for five nights in March, 2008. Don't be fooled by the Robertson Street address--the place is a bit of a shock upon arrival. However, The Carlyle turned out to be a well-managed place (and there is an excellent Thai restaurant directly across the street). We had a junior suite. It wasn't as swanky as the... more

We made a reservation over the hotel's website. We received a confirmation via e-mail, with a confirmation number. We received an e-mail prior to arriving, saying that 'they' were looking forward to our visit. When we arrived (4:00 p.m. on the scheduled day), we were told that they had no record of our reservation, could not locate the reservation number,... more

This little gem of a hotel is tucked away on the very "trafficky" Robertson Blvd., just south of the heart of Beverly Hills (but probably not walking distance) and about a 15 minute drive from Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, or Downtown L.A. It's very quaint, with styles reminiscent of L.A. in th "good old days" (i.e. striped chaise lounges... more

The hotel is nothing special but I would have expected more for the price. It is located in the southern part of Beverly Hills in an area with small businesses on the major streets, and nice neighborhoods on the back streets. We stayed in room 206 which was a junior suite. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with... more

My wife and I spent a Saturday night there. Ups: Nice big room, comfortable bed. Decent location if you're doing anything in West LA, Beverly Hills, Century City, Culver City and have to watch your budget. Very good chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. Breakfast was adequate, no more so, but not a complete waste of time like at some... more

Stayed based on comments posted on this site, at the rate of $159 plus tax. My impression matched many of the positive ones. Rooms were a little on the small side but well appointed. Location is fine, neighborhood is not that bad at all, though is more West LA than Beverly HIlls. Starbucks and 24-hour Walgreens on same block. Great,... more

we stayed two nights in best western Inn hotel LA I loved the service and the price for the budget in this expensive town . The breakfast was ok but I prefer the food from my country more . The maid tried to clean your room everyday in the morning time .The decoration is modern but it would be nicer... more

In all the hustle and bustle of LA, coming back to the Carlyle Inn was like coming home. There was usually a plate of cookies waiting in the lobby. Upstairs, the rooftop patio with potted pants and hot tub felt like a backyard oasis. In the mornings, breakfast had a wonderful, healthy variety of things to eat: not a lavish... more
