The Angeleno does a wonderful job of carrying on the tradition of JDV boutique hotels. We stayed here for a long get-away weekend. The room was perfect, bed fabulous, bathroom stocked & clean, quality of furnishings was very nice, and the hotel in general is very upscale, attractive, and close to so many things to see & do in L.A.... more

This hotel looked pretty chic and trendy online, but in person it is definitely showing signs of wear. The staff was pleasant, but the room was no more comfortable than a Holiday Inn-type hotel. We were only given one towel in the bathroom initially, the tub drained very slowly, and our patio door didn't lock (which didnt bother us too... more

Unless your staying on business I would say dont stay at this hotel. Why?? This hotel is NOT for holiday makers. The hotel is right next to a 12 lane free way, which is extremely noisy even with the patio door closed leading to the balcony. The noise comes throught the AC vent which is directly connected to the outside... more

We had a blast! It was my brothers 30th birthday and we needed a place where we could all come together. We had people from LA, San Francisco, the central valley, wine country & Montana and the folks at The Hotel Angeleno were very helpful from booking the dinner, arranging the cake, arranging transprortation, reserving space in the lounge for... more

The Hotel Angeleno is in a great location but the rooms are tiny, beds are comfortable but that 405 traffic noise is deafening. ALL of the staff members and valet were very nice and polite but I would not stay there again. I selected it since I was only in town for one night. I wanted to be close to... more

From check-in to check-out, I was treated like a favorite Uncle during my stay at the Angeleno. The room was beautiful, the beds are heavenly and the view of the city from my balcony was wonderful. The restaurant..WOW! The dining atmoshere was elegant but not fussy, and the food was superb. Recommended by a Bel-Air "local". more

We read the reviews about the traffic noise and thought it would not be too bad but it is really bad and does intrude and seems to come through the a/c even when the doors are closed. The rooms are pretty small and the photos do indeed flatter. We found the pool area dead at night with folks able to... more

We have stayed at the Angeleno and other hotels of the JDV group and have been pretty pleased. But the attitude at the front desk and from the coffee bar help was terrible. We wondered if there was a newspaper in the house (yes, I know they are going away but we still enjoy them with our coffee) and they... more

While it is true that the hotel Angeleno is quite good, I was expecting much more value for the money paid. Rooms are OK, but not that spectacular as they look on the website. The room's balcony was directly located over the freeway...Breakfast is not included in the price!! (which was a big surprise for many of the colleagues that... more

It was the best bed I slept in in my seven week tour of the states and canada. A bit far out and the resturant was a tad expensive but if you are only staying a couple of nights its fine. Hotel staff great. more
