I just stayed a couple of nights at the Hollywood Celebrity--it's a fine basic hotel. It's located literally behind the Hollywood/Highland shopping center, from Hollywood Boulevard you walk through a corridor of the shopping center to reach the hotel (this seems cool to me--maybe the "hidden gem" thing).
