A block away from Hollywood Walk of Fame & I was lucky to get a room here. Packed my carry on & strolled over from Roosevelt to Magic Castle. Very nice room, great staff & hot apple cider at the reception. Plus the staff at reception is so nice it makes you feel so much comfortable. Free Dvds to watch... More

I spent two night at the Magic Castle for business and just the right feeling and vibe. Loved the set-up and atmosphere and felt as though i was staying at someones apartment in this quiet serene complex. Wireless worked fine and was able to spend mornings on my balcony having coffee in peace and quiet. Agree with all the reviews... More

We only stayed here one night, but loved every second of it. The front desk was incredibly friendly, starting even before we arrived and called to make reservations for the Magic Castle. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a suite since the place was rather empty. They also insisted on driving us up the hill to our dinner... More

I stayed at the Magic Castle while in Los Angeles for business. As my son and husband came with me, we picked the Magic Castle based on the room and the location. We were incredibly happy with our choice. The hotel is a repurposed apartment building, meaning that our one bedroom suite was actually a one bedroom apartment complete with... More

The Magic Castle Hotel is a one of a kind hotel...In fact I've never had a better hotel experience! The staff is beyond helpful; they are exceptional, right on hand to offer you a welcome beverage and anything else you might need upon your arrival and during your entire stay. In addition to very clean and spacious accommodations, this hotel... More

We booked this hotel after reading the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. This was the one disappointing hotel amongst all the others that we booked in our itinerary. First the strengths: The people are nice. This is what probably drives the hotel(?)'s popularity. The service aspect is great in terms of promptness, civility, and helpfulness. The kids loved the free snacks.... More

As big fans of Trip Advisor we dutifully did our research and booked four nights at the Magic Castle as part of a trip around California. On arrival we were told that the guests who were in our room had decided to stay longer (we had booked several months earlier) and that we had, therefore, been bumped over to a... More

The Magic Castle Hotel is a true delight. We would definitely stay there again if we are in L.A. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. As others have said, the service is exceptional. They really go out of their way to make everything perfect, providing maps, restaurant recommendations, directions, snacks, movies, ...all of which is free, so you don't... More

Just want to say I am flabbergasted as to why this place gets great reviews. We have had great luck with trip advisor in the past and booked this place on the basis of these amazing reviews. Underwhelming experience. Thought it was a bit of a dump, to be honest.

This is not a high end hotel but they do not charge high end rates either- so for the price you get an excellent stay. It is an older apartment complex that is now a hotel. With that I want to warn folks: The kitchens are older and the showers are small. The rooms need painting and the carpet is... More
