You want to like this place-- Location, Exceptionally Friendly Staff, Renovated Lobby, and Efficient Check-in with Welcome Sparkling Lemonade and Personal Attention to help navigate the property. So words like quaint, charming, and cozy wrestle in your thoughts.....unfortunately our experience, at least in Room 209, was old, creaky, and cramped at best. This was our third junkit to the Hollywood... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel on our Honeymoon and I can't rate it highly enough. Although not luxurious, the room was a good size and very clean. We really appreciated the flowers on the bed, wine and cake that was waiting for us when we arrived with a card from the staff. It was a lovely way... More

We stayed here for four nights in August and I can't rate this hotel and the staff highly enough. All members of staff were so friendly and helpful (an extra mention here for Mallorie and Nick D). The General Manager, Darren, has fully embraced the 'family friendly' concept without it ruining the stay of those travelling without children. The hotel... More

My husband and 11 year old daughter stayed here 3 nights recently and we all loved it! They go out of their way to welcome you. The service is the best I have ever seen. We could walk to great restaurants and to the Hollywood sites, and take the Metro easily to Universal Studios. The hotel itself is really cool... More

This hotel is located really close to the sights of LA. The room was not as nice as we expected but it was fairly reasonable for LA. We loved the free drinks and snacks, great addition. Having parking on site was really useful but beware it is very hard to park in!

Can't agree more with all the other 5 blob reviews. Service, service, service. What more can I say? Only this, I want to know Kevin's secret as to how he remembers everybody name. My children loved the snacks. It was a fantastic end to a great holiday.

It is a bit of a shock to see that this hotel is ranked #1 in LA. It is, after all, a small, somewhat dated hotel with few of the services found at larger places (no restaurant, no room service, no gym). But yes, as everyone says, the small staff sets this place apart. Where else do you see, for... More

The manager of every hotel in America should be legally required to attend a Customer Care course run by the manager of the Magic Castle. From the moment you first enter, you are made to feel utterly and completely welcome. There are so many little touches that delight; the popcicle hotline at the pool (just pick up the phone and... I went to California with my husband and my 18 year old son to celebrate my husbands birthday and our son's high school graduation. Staying at the Magic Castle Hotel was the highlight of our vacation. There was a special surprise waiting in the table when we got to our room for our celebration. There was also a surprise in... This is WITHOUT DOUBT the best hotel I've stayed in. If I ever go back to L.A I'll go here. This place is all about the service. For me, Kevin made our stay and our holiday. We're still talking about him. Kevin, we miss you...your bag of treats for our road trip lasted until the flight home! We compared every... More
