Ive visited L.A twice within the last year and on both occasions ive stayed at this hotel. Sheila, Mena, Andy and Michelle were all very pleasant too talk to and very friendly. Its in a good location, about 15 miles north of L.A itself and on both occasions i felt safe whilst staying here.

I stayed for 10 days in a room in the second floor. The location is not far from freeway driveway wich was an advantage for me.The hotel is obviously ageing, but the room appeared to be clean. Great stay, the staff at the Front Desk were fantastic - attentive, friendly, and patient (confusion between my work card & my personal card). While my stay was 3 days and 2 nights - I was treated like an honored guest. Super convenient for Cal State - Northridge.

You are right that staying Downtown has no real advantage while visiting LA. The traffic will take you to your areas of attraction within the same time. The only diffence is we do have better rates than downtown hotels....
