Went there for a convention, it's 15 minutes by bus from the Staples center, and of course extremely cheap compared to other hotels in the area, but for good reasons. If like me you plan to come back to the hotel fairly late at night, note that the location is not exactly tourist friendly, that extra mile from figueroa st.... More

We stayed here 2 nights in september. Location very close to downtown. Friendly welcome at check in! You can park your car in front of the hotel but it will cost you 4 dollars a night. Spacious room with two Queen beds with terras on 3 floor was below average. Beds were OK but room and bathroom were a bit... More

We arrived in a hotel around 10 in the evenig and discover our room have been cancelled because of my credit card. Yeap, I'm on holiday, so why I need to check y emails..)) So the receptionist offered us a room for the first night for the same fee we booked and next 2 nights we had a room with... More

I had at this place recently. The reception area is not well marked from the outside. The receptionist was very nice upon our arrival. The room was very small not to mention dirty. The carpet in threshold of the bathroom was peeling so nails were exposed. The neighborhood the hotel is located in is very sketchy. I did not feel... More

We stayed for 3 days in the beginning of july. There had apparently been a error in the booking so our room wasn't there for us. They offered us another for the first night with a discount, which was ok. Staff was generally pretty helpful. The hotel is not exactly new, but it's clean and everything works. There aren't many... We booked this hotel for the July 4th Weekend. Surprisingly we got a deal and the location was closer to downtown. The room was large and the front desk receptionist was so helpful. Parking was not an issue. We got parking inside the facility. I would rate this to be a very good budget hotel in Downtown LA. The neighbourhood... More

Our stay at Hotel Solaire was a little below average. For accommodation classed as Hotel it is not much better than a hostel stay. The room was fairly large and the receptionist on the evening shift was excellent. Unfortunately the receptionist working on our arrival (following 21 hours of travelling) was not helpful. We were just hoping to have a... More

The room was clean and comfortable for the price. Has Air con but would be better if it was a mini split unit instead of a window type floor unit which does not really circulate the air very well. I would say that this is more like an upscale motel rather than a hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful, Would... More

I stayed here three nights (two beds, four adults), and it was fine. It is a very basic hotel, but it was clean, quiet, and all my interactions at the front desk went well. It's better than a Motel 6, for comparison's sake, and probably about the same price. Comes with a fridge for beer and leftovers, so points for... More

Very disappointed, Overall housekeeping staff friendly. I am VERY STRESSED out. In my 20 day stay I have had two inicidents with the hotel "over" authorizing my credit card for excess amounts totalling 400.00. Still trying to figure out where another approx 150.00 is? I called my bank card and theyre telling me they are waiting for hotel to send... More
