The location of the hotel is GREAT!!! Free wifi, breakfast and parking. Room is a little small, but for price in the town... perfect. Very quiet hotel and friendliest staff, they were so helpful. UCLA is right around the corner too!!!! I did not walk far at all. I recommend to everybody visiting the campus.

We passed one night at the Hilgard Hotel in Los Angeles after 15 days of visiting national parks. That hotel is very well situated, quiet and clean. Very close to the Getty museum and not too far from Universal Studio. Many visitor teachers use that hotel on walking distance from UCLA

The hotel is small but comfortable, if slightly old-fashioned and really conveniently located, with helpful staff. Breakfast (cereal and fruit) is provided in the lobby and hot drinks and fruit are available all day at no charge. There is a computer in the lobby too, in case yours packs in. The atmosphere is friendly, perhaps because a lot of the... More

Worst hotel experience EVER. For the first time in my life, I was kicked out of a hotel!! The owner, Mr. William [--], behaved in ways unkind, unprofessional, threatening and illegal. I only wish that I had the presence of mind to video his rant and call 911 for the harassment and aggressive behavior that was inappropriately hurled my way.... More

We went to check in to the hotel and do to the little parking near the lobby, we parked in what we thought was a loading zone. While talking to the employee at the front desk a man barges in the door screaming at my 18 year old daughter to move our car. He then proceeds to call her an... More

The FACTS are these... Mrs. 5Anonymous55555 parked her car directly under a sign “NO STOPPING, GATE OPENS UNEXPECTEDLY” in front of a parking enclosure gate. The gate encloses two parking spaces that the hotel uses for management vehicles. Several years ago the gate did open when a car was illegally stopped in front of it, damaged the vehicle and the... After a bad experience in a different hotel I moved here for the last 2 days of a business trip. The room was adorable with a bay window and window seat. The bed amazingly comfortable. The old L.A. charm was in every detail. Skip the big name hotels and try out this little gem.

I went here during spring break and stayed to tour the UCLA campus. The hotel is very close to UCLA - around a 10 minute walk to campus. However, the condition of the room and price were average. The room was quite old, looking at the interior design. The lighting in the room was quite bad, and our bathroom was... More

If you are seeking medical treatment at UCLA, this is a quaint place to stay. It is easy walking distance to campus. Likewise, the neighborhood is cool - with restaurants and a wide variety of shops. The place feels like your grandmother's house.Older building with classic furnishings and quiet Mozart piano music playing in the lobby. I appreciated the fresh... More

Staff, facility and features were excellent. Vintage character and breakfast added to its charm. Staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. We will return if we are in the area again.

This was a nice, friendly boutique hotel. As seems to be the norm in this neighborhood, the evening front desk staff, while friendly, are not nearly as helpful as the day staff. The room was nice, but not exceptional. The room arrangement was unusual and there were burned out lights, no security chain on the door, and strangely there was... More
