Rooms: small, smelly, asked for two beds, got only one. Gave me the room next to the laundry service, told me they quit at 5pm so I wouldn't be bothered by noise. WRONG! Noise continued all night long, exacerbated by the proximity to the traffic. Parking: 4 spots in front, more in back but not very secure. Service: Not overly... More

I stayed here because of the reasonable price and was a little let down by the feel of this hotel. I planned on staying 10 nights but checked out after the first, since I didn't feel very secure there. The rooms all open to the street, it's noisy and run down, with a musty smell in the room. It was... More

Great location between Santa Monica Pier and the park above the bluffs. Its near Venice Beach and Century City Westfield Mall. It is an older hotel that has been refurbished nicely. The staff is cordial enough until you get to know them and then they are very nice especially Haqu. We travel here for medical treatment for my wife and... More

If your purpose of finding a place is to be near the LDS temple in LA, you've hit the jackpot. Right across the street, with easy walking access, you can't do better than this hotel. The hotel itself is pretty uninspiring. It's a refurbished (to some degree) older property, and it doesn't take long to realize refurbishing only goes so... More

However, the room had a very wet carpet in front of the heater. The bathroom was very small an only a shower, no tub and it was very tight in the rest of the room. The room itself was nice, large and clean. Breakfast was at 7 am the next morning and was nice with the bagels and cream cheese.... More

my room was spacious enough, very clean. great internal design, very comfortable pillows (I never knew they could be to cozy), the room was fully equipped. the location was good, near public transportation (buses), at a safe neighberhood. there were staff at reception 24 hours which was very helpful. the price was high (129$) to my opinion. it was very... Needed a hotel close to the Mormon Temple in Los Angeles. This is directly across the street and easy to find from the freeway. Even though it is an older property, the interior renovation is very well done. Ample continental breakfast (I didn't try the pancake machine, but it might be fun!). Even though I was alone, I felt secure... More

We needed a place between LAX & the French consulate for a late night flight and early morning appointment. This place fit the bill exactly. It was clean & quiet (our window did face the back, rather than Santa Monica Blvd), the room was updated & spotless, and there was a pleasant continental breakfast in the morning. It surely saved... Horrific experience. We reached at around 4:30 PM (check in time 3:00 PM) only to understand that our rooms were not ready. The manager (most pathetic I have ever seen), didn't even share this with us. We stand in front of the room to get another hostile treatment from the janitor. The manager told my wife that I was lying... More

I have read your review and have launched an investigation into your situation. Trust me that this is not the norm in how your check-in was handled. We do have procedures in place to make check-ins seamless, quick and efficient. I am sorry you had encountered what you state, and I will be looking into ALL aspects of it to... More

I picked the Azul Inn because it's close to UCLA & it is reasonably priced for the area. We got room 246 with a window facing the back alleyway, not Santa Monica Blvd. & found it quiet enough to sleep with the window open. According to other reviewers, the Azul Inn has been recently renovated & still appears "new". Our... More

Thank you so much for your honest review, in reading it, I noticed that by your comments, our towels are not much thicker than our sheets, I'll have a look into that as we replenish often, and if necessary we may possibly upgrade our cotton, wouldn't want you to accidentally dry off with a pillow case instead of a towel....
