Came here to spend a night here in Venice Beach and this hotel is in a perfect location! A very cute botique-like coffee shop with excellent coffee drink and pastries right next door. Beautiful partial ocean view and could hear the ocean at night. During the day we were a short walking distance from many restaurants, bars, shopping and of... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this funky hotel situated right on the Venice boardwalk. The rooms are nicely refurbished and retain a 70s style atmosphere. WiFi is good. Showers take a while to heat up but this presented no problem. What set this hotel apart for us was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they provided invaluable... More

I stayed at this property while on town for business turned into a long weekend. (Fri-Sat-Sun). My flight arrived at 9am, and they accommodated me by letting me leave my bags in office and bathroom to change until my room was ready. Same for they way home, my flight didn't leave until 10:30pm so after check out I was able... More

My wife and I spent a Friday and Saturday night at the Venice Beach Suites and Hotel and had a great time exploring Venice and Santa Monica. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. After our Friday morning flight into LAX and Super Shuttle to the hotel, we arrived at 8:30 A.M. Once the office opened at 9:00, were... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, room was clean and tidy. Betsy the small original elevator got us and our luggage up to our room. There was quite a lot of noise you could hear from other rooms this didn't bother us but it may if you are a light sleeper. There are a lot of homeless outside at night they... More

Great spot right on beach front everything on your door step....Very cosy unit especially enjoyed the gas cooking. Impeccable Service from Matt & Danielle. I love making my own smoothies for breakfast and as soon as I mentioned to Matt he sourced a blender for me by the next morning. Great food in the area and plenty of healthy alternatives.... More

It was a delight having you and your daughter as our guests, Rachel! We're always happy to help folks take advantage of the mini-kitchens in our rooms, whether it be finding a blender, toaster, kettle, etc. You can really save some money making your own meals (or smoothies!) when you're on an extended vacation. Thanks for staying with us! More

This place is super casual and laid back. It looks abit like a student hostal from the outside but I found my ocean view room clean and comfortable. Everything you need. The location is the best thing about it, right on the sea front you wake up to beautiful peaceful views. It is short walk to Abbot Kinney Blvd -... More

We had a great time at Venice Beach Suites & Hotel. Matt greeted us and made several restaurant suggestions (all of which were excellent). We will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area.

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
