Cheesy bedspread in room, tv not good-cuts out basic remote with no ‘last’ or ‘menu’ selection. Spacious room. Microwave and fridge in room. Dressers, table are fine. Light system is bad-lights are very bright and in between the beds so person in other bed couldn’t stay asleep once one light is turned on.Beds are clean and comfy, bathroom is fine... more

I liked the Priority Club parking out front; hadn't seen that amenity before. Front staff was friendly and efficient. Lobby was clean and looked nice. Room looked nice. Bed and bath linens looked new and were quite comfy. Room was fairly quiet; was aware of the freeway traffic noise and the elevator, but neither were bothersome. Bathroom was kind of... more

This is a very clean hotel - nothing fancy true but to get a clean hotel, with friendly service and accommodating staff goes a long way in my book. We requested an early check-in and they easily accommodated -and were nice about it! The breakfast is good, and the beds are Very comfortable. I would stay here again. more

stayed one night here as a stopover - it does what it says on the tin - it is a HIE - so usual standards: nice room but not fancy, clean, OK pool, reasonable breakfast for little money more

We recently stayed here to attend our son's college graduation from Cal State Northridge (CSUN). While the neighborhood was mostly industrial and in spots, run down, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms had recently been renovated and they were in the process of updating the exterior with not only paint, but granite door frames, etc. The beds were... more

This Hotel was very nice. Great Location for people going to Magic Mountain or Universal Studios. The staff were very pleasant and prompt service. The rooms were great and so was the price. They offered a continental breakfast from 6:30 am - 9:00am. Were a family of 4 and we had two doubles beds which seemed more like queen size... more

This hotel is strictly average at best. There is nothing too terrible about it but nothing great about it either. I was booked into the hotel through my work so I didn't research prices in the area however this hotel seems awfully expensive compared to the many other hotels that I have stayed in. The bathrooms are the smallest I... more

This was our second stay at the Holiday Inn Van Nuys. Its well located as a first night stopover hotel if youre arriving in LAX and travelling North the next day - we were going to Mammoth. The main reasons choosing this property (apart from the Trip Advisor ratings) were distance from LAX (a relatively easy 30 min drive after... more

There is nothing in the area with rates as low as the Holiday Inn Express, even though the rates were quite a bit higher this time than they were two years ago when I first stayed there. I like it much more than the Best Western on Sepulveda, that's for sure. The HIE has a refrigerator in the room, which... more

The best thing about the Holiday Inn Express Van Nuys is that it is just a 15-20 minute drive to Hollywood and surrounding attractions like Universal City. It's a good choice if you're looking for a clean, relatively affordable place to sleep after a day of sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and the front desk staff was friendly and... more
