My husband and I travel to LA once a year and always looking for "the hotel", I really wanted this place to be it. Looked good upon check-in, older, little funky- parking was easy. Was told no continenal breakfast disappointed, also thought travel book said rooms had frig and microwave, there weren't any. Funny- moldy, antiseptic smell in our hallway to... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Friday night was awful! Lots of partying everywhere. The noise was incredible. It took 3 calls to the front desk before things quieted down above us. Rooms are old but clean. And although they advertise a free continental breakfast, we were told that was no longer available. We picked this hotel for the convenience, and... More

This hotel is in a nice safe neighbourhoud near the hollywood sign. The hotel itself is not so exclusive. The rooms are a bit old and outdated. The staff seems occupied with all sorts of things and does not have a lot of time to answer questions of the quests (maybe its not their fault, but the management to blaim) More

I've stayed at Sportsmen's off and on for over 18 years. It is somewhat shabby and needs upgrading in the rooms. It used to be dirty but seems cleaner than before (especially around the ice machines which are all located on the main floor - quite a trek). It is convenient when visiting family and there aren't many alternatives in... More

We spent four nights at the Lodge...when the coffee cups don't match and the soap if from one company, the shampoo from a second company and the bottles on the counter don't match, you sort of wonder what's going on. There was a big hole in one of the cabinets where the mini-bar had been...and there was no in room... More

Big, clean room, clean bathroom with plenty of towels. My only complaint is that we couldn't get a roll-away bed for pour room, which caused a bit of a problem for us. Adequate continental breakfast, but breakfast in the cafe was wonderful. Kids enjoyed the pool, which was comfortably heated, and very clean. More

Very pleasent hotel, ok location with loads of parkiing, however felt that the rooms and pulic places were a little tired and needing some attention. Good sized pool and very friendly bar tender that served u some much needed beer after a long flight! More

This is an historic hotel. It has been remodeled. It has a mixed feeling of old and new. We stayed in the main hotel. It's the oldest part of the hotel. There is some kind of strange smell in the hallway but it doesn't come in the room. This hotel is close to everything. You do have to pay $10.00... More
