The hotel was adequate for a nights stay. It's very convenient for Universal Studios which is the main reason we chose it. We stayed with our 3 sons and it suited us. The rooms were clean and quiet. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I didn't think it was overpriced and was pleased with 5 of us to consider... More

I went in this hotel because I read its name in Best Western list, but when I arrived I saw that it's not more a Best Western hotel. The hotel is very beautiful at front desk but the rooms are normal and the breakfast included was not so good (not much type of foods) and haven't an elevator so I... More

We needed a place in the vicinity for a few days with family in the valley. Overall, we were happy with our stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful and everything was clean. The Japanese-themed courtyard was a nice surprise and better than your average motel. However, as others have mentioned, the rooms are a bit funny in how... More

Not in a busy neighborhood and the freeway is on the next street. You can hear some noise from the cars but after the first night I couldn’t notice. The only complaint I have is the breakfast, it was held in the restaurant attached to the hotel however you cannot take your breakfast to go, and the breakfast was the... More

With not much to chose between the reviews of budget accommodation in the Studio City area, we went for this one as the neighborhood looked ok. The stay was over the July 4th holiday for 2 nights. On the plus side, the lobby area is nice, and the staff were extremely friendly. Check-in and out were both efficient. Without knowing... More

We chose this motel because we wanted to stay at a main stream hotel chain. Looks like Best Western just buys hotels and add their name to it. There is no consistence with this chain. The outside of the motel was well kept, with a nice Japanese garden. The problem is the dark rooms. The windows were small and we... More

Visiting friends in Studio City and this hotel was very convenient. The staff could not have been nicer, the pool area is simple but clean and comfortable, my king room was in pretty good shape and kept clean. Walking distance to couple pretty good restaurants (Hugo's is wonderful) and a Whole Foods for room munches. All in all a good... More

I booked a room online for a Saturday stay only as we were traveling from San Jose, CA to go to Universal Studios, we arrived aroung 11:00 am (kind of early since their check in is at 3:00 pm) We decided to try to do an early check in anyway since we just wanted to freshen up and head over... More

My wife checked us in as usual. She'd booked the room via Priceline. We've used Priceline since it began with very few issues. The gentleman on duty told my wife that we (and our two daughters) were to stay in a room with one King-sized bed. She explained that she called the Mikado after booking and was told a double... I decided to try one of those name your own price on priceline.com and it was the worst experience. They advertised a three star hotel with free breakfast, free parking, and free wi-fi. They named some of the similar three star hotels as Courtyard by Mariott and etc ... Well, this was like a motel that I would consider two... More
