My friend and I booked the Wilshire Plaza because we got a great deal - it was so cheap! Then, we read all the reviews and started to panic that we were in for an awful experience! However, we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! The hotel was, in our opinion, fantastic! We were greeted with a friendly, speedy check... more

I stayed at Wilshire Plaza for three nights. I flew there from North Carolina & had spent a full day traveling & was in no mood for the incompetence I immediately encountered....Though I had booked the room through Expedia & had paid in full I wastold I had to show a credit card & immediately have a $50 hold put... more

just got "walked" here from the Westin Bonaventure. All the bad comments are true. This place shouldn't be open for business. The room is filthy. The room door is battered from I can only guess was a break-in. There are stains on the carpet that i don't even want to guess are the result of. The sheets on the bed... more

I guess once in LA, is dificult to move without a car. This hotel is comfortable but is hard to find a place to park and inside the hotel is too expensive. There are some cafes and restaurants nearby. It's a central zone. more

This place was a dump, plain and simple. I've seen Motel 6 hotels that are so much nicer than this one. Ok, this place has a lobby that isn't too bad, but if you want to sleep and not worry about stained bedspreads and cigarette burns all over the place you need to avoid this hotel. Our group of business... more

We stayed there two nights but we would never come back. We found the room and carpets really dirty and I do think that the owners of this place should give more attention to housekeeping. Besides it was very noisy - we were woken up really early by the street noise. However, the breakfast was nice. more

What a great hotel, not bad location, metro across the street, starbuck s in hotel, juice bar and coffee across the street. Easy to get to airport, $1.55 on metro and easy to get to Santa Monica and swam in the ocean , one city bus for $1.25. Absolutely good value for the rate I paid which was really cheap.... more

I have stayed in 3 stars hotels in many cities in the USA. Unfortunately during our recent stay at the Wilshire Plaza we were surprised at how neglected it is. We stayed on the 11th floor facing Wilshire Plaza, the room was barely adequate, and we were struck by how dirty the carpets were in the hallways, and only marginally... more

As my partner and I did not want to stay in the middle of Hollywood, we thought the Wilshire Plaza would be a great location & fairly priced. This turned out to be correct as Hollywood was only a few short Metro stops away. However, thats where the positivety of our stay here ends. The customer service provided by the... more

We spent 3 nights. We were on the 11th floor and I slept comfortably and heard nothing.Very convenient location to transit.True, the decor is circa 1984 and could use a renovation. But we paid less than 90 a night which is reasonable for an LA hotel. more
