After staying in a hotel for an entire week, flaws always begin to show. At the Omni, there were none. Case in point: when I arrived, the bulb in the desk light was burned out. Arrived early in Los Angeles. Was able to check in at hotel at 9 AM local time without a problem. Only stayed one night, but encountered friendly service from the time we arrived until we left. The Omni Hotel in LA is a very welcoming hotel with spacious rooms & amazing beds! While perhaps a bit overpriced, I found the service and location hard to beat for this hotel. Everyone from the bell hops to the front desk clerks, especially Night Manager Gary Gutierrez who inspite of working by himself at night at the desk still manages to greet and acknowledge everyone professionaly. Stayed for two nights mid-August. I share the views of previous reviewers that service at the hotel is really good! Rooms are OK - standard quality for business hotel, however the hotel (and especially rooms and bathrooms) start to show the signs of age - I guess a refurbishment is required rather urgently. Nothing to rave about but it was nice. The hotel is well maintained and service is good. Staff is helpfull and professional. Did not use any of their restaurants. Did use the Fitness Center quite a bit; rather small. Good location. more
