I stayed at the Omni because it was close to the Music Center, where I was attending a show. It's a standard business hotel - nothing special. I was able to walk to the Music Center, so that was a plus. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk check-in was cooly efficient, but not particularly welcoming or friendly. Although... More

The Omni LA has the best staff and one member is a standout – Aristotle. When we arrived Aristotle greeted us. He is very warm, friendly and very helpful. He assisted us with our car, luggage and waited while we checked-in. Throughout our stay, we often ran into him and each time his disposition was always the same. Because of... More

I stayed at the Omni California Plaza for a business trip and the hotel staff and amenities made the trip comfortable and easy. I even left my jacket at the hotel and the staff found it and mailed it back to me at the hotel's expense. Great Customer Service.

The LA Omni is a good choice for business visitors to downtown LA (where choices sometimes feel quite limited). The service is generally efficient, and the room are large and comfortable, with plenty of space for relaxing as well as for working. The one downside is that the room lighting is not entirely effective, so the room appears quite dark,... More

I stayed for 4 nights for business and thoroughly enjoy my stay, The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the amenities were excellent. Room service was fast, easy and the food was great. Location was perfect as it allowed me to walk to my daily meetings two blocks away.

Location: Very good location in downtown LA with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Ambiance: Very upscale lobby and low-key check-in desk. The conference rooms are on the 2nd floor so a few even have windows! Service: 5 stars to the Front Desk. I am not a frequent Omni guest but when I asked for a larger room,... More

While the room and upkeep are of acceptable quality, service leaves much to be dsired. We were to be picked up from a certain point, as per prior arrangement, and despite contacting the Hotel several times and informed that we were waiting, the vehicle never arrived in time, and we had to hail a cab in the late hours. It... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
