The Sheraton was great! It was conveniently located in the downtown area of LA, surrounded by great restaurants and right across the street from the subway station. The staff were super friendly and gave us subway maps and directions to all the attractions. We stayed on the third floor and was the only floor that had access to a walk... More

Being a Sheraton I expect much more. Maybe little details, but finally affect your stay. Problems with the parking ticket, with the check out, waiting a lot for guest service desk, a poor internet signal, are situations that can be improved. Location is fine, close to supermarkets, restaurants and the Convention Center. The room was fine, but nothing extraordinary, considering... More

With trepidation I booked my stay in Los Angeles for the LA Art Show. The reviews are all over the map from horrible to excellent. From my first step inside the door until I left five days later, I had a wonderful experience. The desk clerk was very friendly and got me a fabulous corner room on the 20th floor.... More

Stayed here with my father and two brothers. We came down to see the Dodgers and this seemed to be close to Dodger Stadium. Nice Hotel, attached to a Mall that I never went to. Parking can be pricey, but there are some cheaper options nearby to keep those costs in check. As it says, this hotel is located in... More

Top of the line for the Sheraton brand. Business atmosphere, but rooms are spacious and upgraded. Not much in the way of views, but it's LA, so not a priority. The best part is the location with 10 min to Staples Center and LA Live dining area, it's ideal. Easy and hassle-free stay. Expect to pay $32 for valet parking... More

SUMMARY: Large hotel with a great downtown location and convenient access to Macy's Plaza and the adjacent shopping mall. Recent renovation made it a clean and comfortable stay with good service (for the most part). ROOMS: We were upgraded to a deluxe room on the 21st floor with nice views of the surrounding areas. The room was spacious and included... More

The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear everything in the next room, the hall, the stairs from the room. I picked this hotel because it had a restaurant that stayed open to 11 pm. As a woman alone, I am not going out on the streets of Los Angeles to find food. I got to the hotel with... More

First off, I am not a big city girl, so I'm not sure if the parking situation was normal or not, but for me it was very confusing. We finally got the car parked ($28 a day, btw) and had to walk through an underground mall, I guess you could call it. It was weird hauling our luggage past Macys,... More

I stayed here for 3 nights on business. I got a great rate through AAA (about $100/night with prepayment) which is why I chose this spot. Pluses: The location is great, and the common areas are very nice. The room and bathroom were good sized (I was given a room with 2 double beds). I ordered breakfast from room service... More

I travel frequently for work and I would consider myself rather low maintenance but WOW, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered! So to start I checked in and the lady at the front desk was rude then I checked into my room and was thinking ok nothing impressive and everything is outdated. On the plus side... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
