We picked the hotel because of location, but were really disappointed with the hotel itself -it is not up to the standarts of Sheraton Brand! We were put on 12th floor (not for Starwood preferred guests - as we are)- the carpet on the floor was very dirty, the smell in elevetor is really bad! Nobody helped us with 2... More

I was disappointed to read your comments, but appreciate your constructive feedback. The guest corridor and elevator cleanliness issues are not typical of our service level and I apologise for our lack of attention during your stay. Thank you for your business. We trust you will allow us the opportunity to welcome you back on your next trip to LA. More

The Sheraton hotel was a great hotel to stay at. My wife and I had a lot of fun and plan on coming back next year. The hotel is close to the staples center and convention center, so watching a game there or any event is an easy 15 minute walk. What I love about this hotel is that it's... More

This hotel is conveniently located downtown, within a small shopping mall anchored by Macy's Express. Gustavo at the reception made check-in fast and pleasant. The room was spacious, well-appointed. Elevators were busy and a bit slow. Although it is within a block of a Metro station, it is more likely that you have arrived at the hotel with a car... More

I stayed here in order to attend a friend's wedding. I booked a double room but they were able to give me a king size bed room when I arrived. I had to rely on public transportation since I don't drive and this hotel is right across the street from the metro. It is also across the street from Walgreens... More

We booked this hotel visiting LA/Hollywood. Check in was a breeze, hotel was nice and clean. For some odd reason our keycards weren't working properly, each time we would have to slide the cards a few times for it to work. But that's not a big deal, all worked out well. Hotel is located in downtown LA, great location if... More

We were very disappointed with the hotel. The general condition was old and run down. Thankfully we only stayed two nights and were out 90% of the time. Really there are newer, better maintained choices. Check them out first.

We stopped off at the Sheraton Downtown after flying in from London. Booked in on the preferred guest club floor. We had very good service form all staff members, from the valet - you drive down from the sweep in drive to the carpark, where there is a large area to stop unload and let them organise the bellhop and... Located across from the 7th Street Metro, this is very convenient. In a good location of town where you feel relatively safe walking around this hotel is attached to the Macys plaza. I did not eat at the hotel as there were lots of good eats nearby and for breakfast the food court in the plaza had options. Had great... More

I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel as I hadn't stayed in downtown L.A. in years but this hotel turned out be a a very good choice for my needs. Located just across the street from the subway and a few blocks from both the convention center and Staples center it's a great choice for those staying in... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
