I've stayed in numerous downtown Los Angeles hotels, and never chosen the Sheraton. But it was the hotel for convention I attended, so there I was. The Sheraton's location, at 7th & Hope Streets, is great. 7th St. is one of the liveliest parts of Downtown LA, with lots of restaurants and bars. 7th St. Metrocenter rail station is across... More

Management response:

Thanks for taking the time to offer so much detail! We are fortunate to have a great location and a great team to welcome our guests, however recognize your concern about the elevator delay during your visit, which, rest assured, is certainly not typical! Sorry about the decor....and please know that room and internet package rates are available. Our goal... More

We stayed here for two nights in order to be close to USC for a college visit. The location was perfect for that plus we were able to do a bit of LA sightseeing without too much extra driving. The concierge level was very nice too with enough happy hour food that my daughter and I didn't want more for... More

We stayed in this hotel on June 7th, after a week's trip on the road. The hotel provided a welcome base for rest, with comfortable bed and good amenities. We enjoyed the complimentary wi-fi in the lobby. Although we didn't feel hungry enough to warrant $20 for breakfast buffet, we did find drinks and light snacks in the lobby shop,... More

I stayed at this hotel in June 6th. The front desk agent gave me my keys and didn't tell me where to go or anything about the hotel. They don't offer continental breakfast. I came home and noticed bites all over me come to find out its bed bugs. Just hope I didn't bring them home with me. The room... More

Typical four star hotel. Comfy beds, clean rooms, good breakfast. But if you want your vacation to include cosy cafés, genuine restaurants and good shopping, stay somewhere else in LA. Their room service was slow and there was no free wifi in the room, only in the lobby.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of times for business. From check in to check out I don't have any complaints. The staff are great and very helpful. If you're looking for a DOWNTOWN Los Angeles hotel, then this is it. Although, not much downtown Los Angeles compared to Hollywood, Beverly Hills. There is parking right under the hotel,... More

The hotel is really close to the metro station (7th Street). Very convenient esp for those with luggages (just opposite to the metro station). It has a nice restaurant which charges reasonably. Hotel decorations are typical Sheraton's, well maintained (doesn't look old-fashioned at all). The room is spacious, quiet and clean. Bed is really comfortable. Not free in-room wifi though,... We were driving from SF to LA and booked at the last moment. While this hotel would originally have been out of our range, we got a very good deal. For the price that we paid this was a steal. The situation is really as good as it gets in downtown LA. Everything else was the good and pretty much... More

This hotel is fantastic! Great staff with all the amenities. It's attached to a mall and there are so many places - even historic - to eat and drink around downtown. I was feeling under the weather during this trip and I actually slept for 12 hours straight - unheard of in a hotel! I highly recommend a stay in... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
