Stayed in the Sheraton for 5 nights whilst at a global work conference. The hotel at the time was going through a facelift. At the time, my room had been modernised and it was really really nice. The Starbucks machines in the room were a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I had... More

Its no secret that the Sheraton Los Angeles has been undergoing renovations. We have stayed there prior to the renovations in 2012 and also during the renovations in 2014. We had no problem with the noise. The staff ensured that we were as far away as possible from the renovations which was very considerate. I must say that the staff... More

Thank you for noting what I would say is our shared enthusiasm for the transformation as well as the service team. The renovation goes well beyond what I believe anybody may have thought when this all first began. Every aspect from guestrooms to the lobby to the elevators have been considered and are receiving significant attention. In the meantime and... More

We stayed March 11-14th in a club level 2 queen bed renovated room on the 22nd floor. We chose the LA Sheraton because of it's proximity to the LA marathon expo-wow! I was so impressed with the value, staff friendliness and helpfulness, cleanliness, security, club lounge (spectacular view and Minnie and Jian were fantastic!), fitness facility (also a spectacular view), location... Thank you for your reference regarding the elevators as it brings balance to an otherwise difficult situation. While the elevators are undergoing a process of modernization, the wait times can greatly vary depending on the demand. We have made every effort to make guests aware so they can allow a little more time when traveling within the hotel. That said,... More

Location is ideal for business downtown. Was given a renovated junior suite which was a very spacious setup with a large seating area with a nice couch and a giant TV. The beds are always great at Sheraton/Westin properties. The only downside was the bathroom - rather cramped, especially on counter space. It was fine for me, but if my... More

The hotel is under some serious renovations. The entire lobby has been moved to another floor and the elevators are extremely slow, but the staff is pretty awesome! From the friendly lady at check in to the nice room service server everyone there was wonderful. The woman working in the club lounge in the mornings is AMAZING! Had a great... More

I was at the Sheraton Downtown Los Angeles for a short stay last weekend (Fri Mar 20-Sun, Mar 22) and it was a frustrating experience the entire time. With the property under renovation, it falls far short in almost all areas. There was only elevator working to service 26 floors... and you have to take the elevator to get to... More

I am sincerely sorry that your stay was so far off the mark. I understand the renovation has tried patience along the way, but it appears your experience was beyond what was reasonable. As you will note by fellow TripAdvisor fans, we made honest efforts to notify guests of our renovations. In the end, I understand that despite any effort... More

Stayed in March 2015, one night. Have stayed here multiple times before. Knew that renovation was going on. Room is actually renovated already and pretty decent. Good location in downtown and LA downtown is more vibrant now. You can go to Target City store for 5 minutes walk. That's a good plus. Hope whole renovation will be over soon. They... More

Thank you for your feedback and the great comments regarding the renovation. We are near complete and should be ready to welcome all into our new lobby by June 1, 2015. As for the breakfast, we will continue to provide it at a nominal cost until our new restaurant, The District, opens in June as well. In the meantime, we... More

The newly redone rooms are simply wonderful. Plenty of light, big flat screen, wonderful bed and decor that is upbeat and soothing. Plenty of electrical too. I slept great and awesome bed. Thank you for the positive feedback and great review. The rooms are amazing and now all we need to do is complete the lobby. On that note, we should be done within a few short months as we are clearly in home stretch. In the meantime, thank your loyalty and making us your new home when visiting downtown. Safe travels. Stayed at the Sheraton for 3 nights while going to a conference. As described in other reviews, the hotel is under construction so there are only a few elevators working. Checkin was easy. This was not my first choice of hotel as I had read several reviews that were not positive. However I am pleased to say that their reviews were wrong! Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
