This hotel is has filthy carpeting in the rooms, poor lighting, no outlets, no hook on back of bathroom door for nightclothes, . We were provided with only one key to the room, despite asking for a second. The free parking has scary narrow spaces, making it almost impossible to park the minvan we had rented to help my son... We stayed here just for one night. The crowd is more bachelors and groups of mixed crowd. I would not suggest for a decent family or a couple. Far from all attractions though. Yes it's value for money paid. Parking is free which is the best thing in LA.

The one star I'm giving this place is for the elderly gentleman manning the front desk. He was very polite and did his best to expedite our registration. If the drive down Crenshaw didn't let you know you were in a questionable area, the ultra thick glass that separates you from the front desk should. If the aforementioned didn't clue... More

Crap, absolute crap! Seen nicer trailer parks. Service was awful, extremely unhelpful. International travelers boost local economics and this area sure needs it. Not a good move. Do not recommend this place at all. If I was staying alone, I would have gone elsewhere: I didn't feel safe at all.

We book through travel one for air and hotel. when we get in the hotel it was already 7:30 pm. Check-in was a horrible experience. He want us to pay again which was already paid through the agency. It took us an hour for to get the key without solving anything. There is no place around to eat and after 20... More

We made the reservation through Thomas Cook who helped us to find somewhere that was in a central location to all the sights. This hotel is definitley in a great location as you can use the metro bus service to get to alot of the sights like Hollywood boulevard/Sunset Boulevard/Santa Monica Beach/Downtown LA There are bus stops just afew minutes... When we walked in our room, we noticed black stains on our walls, the TV wouldn't turn on, and the lamps wouldn't either. Also the carpet looked very dirty. The closet doesn't even have a door to close it. It looks like someone ripped it out. We decided it wasn't worth our money, and we left the room, but the... More

I had made reservations for a 2 night stay. The pictures for the hotel make this place look like a 4 star. I checked in which by the way took a very long time. When I opened the door and looked at the carpet I literally could not believe my eyes. filthy black stains all over that way nicely vacuumed... More

I am sorry to hear about your experience at Dunes Inn - Wilshire. The wi-fi during a few days was down which was a result of an elaborate hardware failure. It took a few days to get the parts, re-program, in which we found an alternate solution to get it back up in the mean time. Unfortunately perhaps you've already... More

I have been visiting this motel for the past 20 years and if you want something basic that's close to the attractions in LA then this place is ideal. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comforatble. A recent refurbishment has made this place even better. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and provide all information you... More

Good localization. Rooms for four people, clean, good beds and shower. Unfortunately they dont have breakfast but there is places to have it near to the hotel. Wifi service and cool swimming pool. Good choice to stay in Los Angeles. Good trip.
