This is a standard motel, nothing more, but nothing less. Room was clean, good sized, parking adequate, typical motel breakfast. Very close to Metro and bus lines. Staff friendly. If all you need is a decent place to sleep in this part of LA, this motel does the job just fine, and at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is in a great location for the price. The rooms were clean, good size, equipped well, friendly staff, free parking and nice swimming pool. Everything great only one thing happened was that we couldnt get into the hotel for 4 hours with our car as the police had closed the road in all directions as right outside the... More

Stayed here 3 days when we arrived in LA. Good location next to the metro line, 3 stops to Hollywood Bvld, plus easy to get to from the highway. The staff were nice enough and the room was decent for the price, although strangely sticky carpet but otherwise clean. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good hotel around 100... More

We had 2 nights here. Our unit was basic but clean and had all we required. Air conditioner was a bit noisey (as most are). Staff were very helpful and polite. Access to metro was about 200 -300 metres away and the ideal way to travel to Universal Studios and Hollywood Boulevard. Price at $75 per night was very competitive... More

We stayed at Travelodge from arriving from Lax late at night. There was just enough room for our car but they have an additional parking lot within walking distance. The room was basic but clean. Everything you need was there. The neighbourhood was nothing special, there is a good thai restaurant next to the hotel. It took us a one... More

We spent one night at the Travelodge Hollywood before heading down to San Diego. I knew going in that this was not a 4 star hotel. The biggest "pro" was that the beds were clean and comfortable. Basically that is most important to me. Like others have posted, the carpets need a really really good cleaning or better yet, replace... More

The hotel has a good location, with easy access to tourist areas by car. Breakfast is "Grab and Go" and consists of Muffins, Pastries, Fruit, Juice and Coffee/Tea. This is obtained from the reception area. The ceiling is not sound proof, as we could hear the people staying above us. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The maid did a very... More

We booked Travelodge Hollywood-Vermont/Sunset due to its close proximity to Hollywood Boulevard. The room was pretty average but at US$85.50 per night we couldn't expect more. The room was pretty comfortable for two and parking was easily available upfront. However, the sound insulation was really bad. We could hear people talking at night along the corridors and the sound of... More

I booked this for the first three nights of my stay in LA before moving downtown. I was under the impression that it was closer to the main points of interest in Hollywood and while it is two blocks from Hollywood Blvd. it is another 15 - 20 mins walk to the Chinese Theatre / Kodak theatre etc. but is... My girlfriend and I stayed here after a lengthy bus ride from santa monica to the metro. This hotel was in sight the moment we got off the train so we dicided to check it out. For what we paid (85$USD) the rooms were very clean, the beds were firm and comfortable and the general feel to the room was... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
