A beautiful hotel in a great spot in Hollywood (albeit very dark). The bell staff and housekeeping were very helpful and courteous. The reception staff were only interested in you if you were somebody (we weren't). Room small but well fitted out. Beware of the air-conditioning that sounds like a jet taking off and shares the scents of nearby rooms. more

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel for our first trip to L.A. The hotel itself is very nice but dark everywhere. It's in a great location on Hollywood Blvd, within walking distance to many exciting attractions. We paid extra for a larger room and were disappointed to see how tiny it was. The shampoo and conditioner in... more

My friend and I stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt for 3 nights from 4 Aug 08. The location was really good for tourists without a car. Across the road was the Hollywood & Highland Center which had numerous shops and eateries. There was also a pharmacy and supermarket nearby. The hotel looks very luxurious inside as you would expect for... more

Came here with the Gumball 3000 in 2008. Overall the hotel is not bad. Suites are spacious, which makes you forget the fact that the rooms are pretty basic. Room 801 (and I guess any X01 room) has the sickest views on the Hollywood Blvd crossing. Service is not bad by LA standards, which isn't much, to be honest, but... more

My family and I visisted this hotel six years ago and we were disappointed with the changes when we re-visited in June. The historical lobby is no longer the main entrance and is very dingy and dark. All the historical material and the piano has been removed so it feels soulless. When private parties are held at the hotel, residents... more

Where to begin at 4 in the morning after a drunk, naked man has been pounding his fists on my door unable to find his room. Bad Service Noisy Overbooked Trashy Clientele Staying here on business. Coworker's room was overbooked. I was "upgraded" to the pool cabanas which are separate from the main hotel. But was not told the pool... more

Had one main issue- THE SPA. The massages were a total rip-off!!!! three one hour sessions totaled to $600!!! What they call the spa garden is located right next to the busy streets. How is one suppose to relax when you can hear the traffic as clear as if you were on the sidewalk. I do not recommend it!!! save... more

Shocked the rooms have a door connecting to the room next door with no sound proofing and believe me you can even hear a whisper. The first night was respectable guests next to us trying their best to whisper the second night was a couple having sex. The manager can close the pool and parts of the hotel for private... more

Upon arrival on Tuesday July 22 we were greeted by a very gracious and professional Valet service. Check in was freindly and pleasant. I was in Room 132 explained by the front desk as an exceptional poolside room. Once in our room pleasantly surprised very nice modern room. Upon our return from Hollywood blvd with a few bags we were... more
