These are the same owners of Coronado Studio and I am very disappointed in their treatment of my reservation for the Studio. I made the reservation three months in advance, in early Nov. In Dec, I couldn't find my confirmation email and wrote asking for them to resend. Nobody replied to multiple emails, so I called and was told my... More

We have stayed at Sanborn House many times and LOVE it! You cannot beat the location, the fact that you have off street parking, the price (VERY reasonable), access to a shared kitchen (always with very congenial guests who you may or may not bump into), your private bathroom, a comfortable bed and charming hosts. What more could one ask... More

We selected Sanborn House based on the good ratings and found that they are all well earned. Cozy, comfortable and very clean room with private bathroom and a shared kitchen for coffee, tea and breakfast. Although the other room was also occupied we never experienced any bother. Each room has its own front door. Hosts are very friendly, supportive and... More

My husband and I stayed here the last weekend in January. The location is central to many places in L.A. and there are a ton of great restaurants located within walking distance (I highly recommend Cliff's Edge for dinner!). The general area is very eclectic and has a hipster vibe. The gated off-street parking is nice. We stayed in the... More

What a wonderful place! Gary is the consummate host, attentive and welcoming. The house is well situated in a very hip part of town with an abundance of shops and eateries within a very short walk. The suite itself was clean comfortable and nicely priced. Gated off street parking is a big plus. Would recommend this in a heart beat.

Just loved this place for our visit to the Hollywood area. It was clean, had gated off street parking, large bedroom and living room and it felt like staying at a friends home. Cafes, coffee houses and great restaurants just one block away. Easy access to lots of places of interest. And it was so quiet which we did not... More

We live in Los Feliz, a stone's throw from the Sanborn Guest House. Our house was being tented for termites and we wanted to stay close to home. Gary was a very accommodating host, and our room was just what we needed for two nights. We stayed in the Sanborn Guest Room. If you want a little more space, choose... More

I'm sorry to hear about the termite situation, Rick! Hopefully they haven't decided to shack up with you again since your review. In any case, I'm glad we could provide you with a homelike respite from the 'mites while your house was tented. Even positive reviews help us get better for our customers, so we're thrilled to see that you... More

Third, or fourth, stay at this lovely little guest house in Silver Lake. I am almost reticent to leave a glowing review as I want the room to be available when I return to East Los Angeles. I love the Silver Lake/Echo Park area.....so many cool restaurants and good coffee shops. Good take-out. Laid-back vibe....nice people. For me, the room... More

We liked the Sanborn Guest House a lot. Gary was very friendly and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. The shower & bathroom was clean and towels were provided and we had access to a shared kitchen where there’s filter coffee, a big fridge and a proper cooker. It’s like staying in a holiday chalet rather than a B&B... More

We had no idea what to expect never having stayed in LA, were we in the right area, would we be safe? We didn't want to be in a hotel and wanted to be a part of a community where their were interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance. SANBORN HOUSE was the perfect choice! Being built in 1921 the... More
