I'm so glad I decided to stay at Sanborn House. Although it's not located in the traditional tourist areas this was part of it's charm. We a had vehicle (which is a necessity in L.A) so it was easy to get around - located close to Hollywood, Universal Studio's, Hollywood Hills, downtown & easy freeway access. Secure parking was free.... more

We stayed in the guest room at Sanborn House for four nights in early September. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Great value, perfect location for exploring LA/Hollywood and a clean, cute room. The gated car park was a nice bonus, as was the shared kitchen and free WiFi. There are some good restaurants/bars within walking distance as well.... more

Stayed about five days in this place. Really couldn't asked for more. Great value for money! Although there is not a huge amount within walking distance, I would suppose that anyone staying here would have a car. Excellent secure car parking. Will be back! more

We loved this place. It was true to the photos and at the intersection of Sunset & Santa Monica it was a great location. Because of a fender bender we didn't arrive until 2am, but out hosts were still kind and courteous. We left our room in a bit of a mess the first day as we were rushing to... more

I had a nice stay in the Guest Room, which had a private room with a shower. We could also use the guest kitchen. Everything was clean. The host was very nice and totally flexible with check-in time. There was a 15 minutes walk to arrive at the metro station but you could also use the bus to get there.... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and found this to be the perfect base for getting around L.A. We drove here and loved the fact that there was gated parking. The neighborhood was also very nice and quiet. We stayed in the guest room and found it to be perfect for our needs and everything was also... more

I stayed in the Suite at the Sanborn Guest House for three nights (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) in June '08 while I visited my daughter and son-in-law who live nearby. The on-site owners were very accommodating and welcoming. The suite was spacious & charming. It included a sitting room, bedroom, and private bathroom. It shared an equipped kitchen with the... more
