We stayed here because their website made it look pretty nice and there were some cheap rooms. We were a bit surprised by the exterior but figured it would be better on the inside. It really wasn't. The place looks like an old converted motel, which it probably is. The front desk was friendly, but they wanted us to pay... More

I actually found the hostel/hotel to be pretty good to be honest. Good service! Strategic location and clean bedrooms! Booked the private rooms for abt 7 days, and I have no complains. For the price, it was pretty good! But definitely the plus point is the amazing location right along hollywood boulevard.

Very good location, great thing the free parking. The guys who works here are very nice, they will help you with anything you might need with a smile on their faces. I might consider coming back but I will never stay in the budget dorms anymore. I was in the room 108-109. Not sure these are the only ones in... More

This place was cheap and had a reasonable bed and bathroom. However I would not stay here if you want to do things in West Hollywood, Beverly Hills or get to the beaches. It was quite a walk to the Chinese Theatre and info desk. The staff were very unhelpful when we arrived early in the morning. We knew that... More

We stayed in banana bungalow for 4 nights! We were in a private room which was well equipped! The staff are all very helpful, upon arrival we were early for check in so stored our bags and were offered breakfast and told about the tours they organise! One of which we went on and was great value! There was a... More

Staying in 8-bed mix dorm for 4 nights. We were staying at the row right above the breakfast place. It's a little far from the office and I think that's the reason we can't connect to WiFi when we are in the room. A simple free breakfast every morning and it's good enough for us. But when we want to... More

The office staff were always incredibly helpful. I stayed in a private room that had everything I needed - a tv, a mini fridge, a microwave, free wifi and an ensuite bathroom. The rooms were very clean, the facilities were good and the hostel itself is only a 10 minute walk to the main par of Hollywood Boulevard. I was... More

This is very cheap and reasonable for the traveller needing the less expensive option. But, I am sorry to say. We arrived there after a full day walking the streets of LA, santa Monica and Hollywood, which came after having done the long flight from Melbourne to LA. We were really happy, but very hot, tired and in need of... More

Great place to start in Hollywood and this place has a good vibe to it offering free food nights trips and games The location is easy to get to other areas in LA and see the sights of tinsel town and out laying areas

I picked this hostel because of it's location and it didn't disappoint, it's right at the end of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's a pretty cool spot with nice communal areas, a table tennis table, computers and free wifi. I also enjoyed the simple but nice included breakfast and a $5 dinner while I was there which was great!... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
