We loved this place especially its location. You are literally on the boundary line between Venice Beach and Santa Monica and the beach is a stone’s throw away. It was a reasonably sized apartment with all amenities. The best thing is it feels like your staying in a friend’s home. We were both surprised how chilled we felt especially after... More

I stayed at Admiral Suites last October 2014 for three nights. Being a travel agent myself I chose Admiral Suites for several reasons: 1. Location: one block away from the beach, between Venice and Santa Monica. At night, the beach front is completely empty. Venice is too touristy in my opinion and I found it a bit seedy. Santa Monica... More

I was in the penthouse for 9 days - fabulous location - a block from the beach - turn left for a 20 minute walk to Manhattan Beach - turn right you are a 20-30 minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier - the down side… it is not a hotel…. rather you are renting an apartment… the bed was... More

We stayed here for 9 days with out little dog on the top floor. While it was not the super cleanest- the rooms were great, good equipped, the bed was super comfortable, the closet really big, the bathroom new with plenty plush new towels. We were once asking for a set of new sheets and the cleaning team came immediately... More

I rate it as a 'good' location because it borders the end of Venice Beach and the beginning of Santa Monica. It is not directly on the beach, but a half a block away - which wasn't a horrible thing. The only drawback to that was walking even a little ways down the alley to get to the entrance. There... More

We stayed at the admirals suite in April 2014. Admiral suites is a great place to stay visiting Venice Beach this location located at the end of the very active Venice Beach section at the beginning of the Santa Monica section of the beach. This location was close enough to the action but far enough away so it was quiet... More

My husband and I have just returned from a three week roadtrip around California, staying in 6 hotels, and this one was by far the greatest disappointment. It was also the most expensive. We booked the cheapest apartment at Venice Admiral Suites. Note – there are no photos of their cheapest apartments on their website. I didn’t know this, and... More

Venice Admiral Suites was great. I stayed there for multiple months, and I would come back tomorrow. Georgina, the manager, is amazing. She's a wonderful person, she's good at her job, and she's incredibly responsive. The location is steps from the beach, right on the Santa Monica border, and near everything you need for a pleasant stay. The room size... More

My father and I couldn't have loved the place more. The location was amazing, the staff was very nice, the room was a good size for 2 people and they provided us with a rollaway bed. Also we felt at home, buying groceries everyday and making our own food. It was a very nice experience.

We stayed at Venice Admiral Suites this past May for four nights. Here are my thoughts on this place: Pros: - Very close to Venice Beach. You can literally go out the front door, turn right, walk half a block, and you are on the sand. - it is located equidistant between the Venice and Santa Monica piers. This means... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
