The vibe is a groovy old place that has that lazy motel feel. Its in the right spot and has been renovated to a clean fresh standard and style. Little grungy and noisy but hey the vibe is cheap and tidy.

You can save a lot of money by staying at The Vibe Hotel - really a hostel - in Hollywood, but, if you like a night's rest, you will be sorry. I have had up and down experiences with hostels around the U.S., Europe, and in Canada. The American Youth Hostels usually provide a better experience, the the independent ones... More

Also called Bannana Bungalow. Nice location, a little down on Hollywood Blvd but in walking distance to everything. Safeish location. You have to walk past 2 car yards to get there but I never felt unsafe walking at night. Hostel was clean and staff were friendly. The free breakfast was a plus & cheap dinners too !

This place is amazing for what it is. We paid under $100 per night for private accommodation which came with a full kitchen! On Hollywood Boulevarde no less!!! There are also dorm roooms at very reasonable prices. Breakfast is included and involves cereal, toast and tea/coffee. Access is secure which increases a sense of security and parking is complimentary. The... More

This was a cool little hostel in hollywood that did just fine for our short stay in LA. We had a 6 bed mix dorm that was actually pretty good because each room has it own washroom and kitchen, pretty rare in the hostel universe, it meant you could shop and cook your own meals to save money for other... A small, safe, fun place to be while staying in LA. I love the back breakfast area/tiki garden, and the fact that there are plenty of places within the hotel to sit outside and chat with people or work (I do both). Being around people who are traveling is always a pleasure and stories abound. The whole staff is great,... More

I stayed at this hostel with my boyfriend at the end of may. Staff were lovely, apartments were a really good size with a good kitchen & nice bathroom. Free breakfast is amazing. Not too far a walk to Hollywood boulevard . Only down side is the music which stays on until midnight every day

Great place for YOUNG people who like to drink. Drinking events every night. Music bumping till 12 pm every night. Awesome breakfast for free every day. Staff VERY nice and very helpful. Found two cockroaches in our room but we thought the place was very clean other than that. For 80$ish a night I would stay there again for sure

Stayed three nights in may in a private room. Large room, nice bed, nice shower, free wifi, room was clean, breakfast is basic but free and satisfying, staff were helpful. They had a party every night with drinks, food and various activities depending on what day it was. Laundry, eight ball, computers, vending machines are all available. I was there... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
