This hotel was relatively cheap, and in a somewhat decent area. Only a two block walk to Hollywood Blvd, but still a few blocks away from the main section. Only about 15 minutes by public transit to get to the main Hollywood strip. The hotel itself was clean and nice, but the place was very noisy. All night we would... More

We had pre-paid in full but the man on check in still insisted in scanning my credit card into his computer. When we first entered the room all seemed ok until we turned on the air-con. The noise was horrendous, sounded like a pneumatic drill, and I thought it was going to blow. There was no way we were going... More

Myself and my partner stayed here for 5 nights in October. When we arrived at 6am the man at reception was very helpful taking our bags until our room was ready. The rooms are newly renovated, we paid $125.00 (AUD) per night so we thought this was extremely good value. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the rooms are... More

This is a basic motel which fits right in if you want a place to crash at night and prep up for the next day. The room opens into an open courtyard which is the basic motel style and something that I was unused to. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, the AC... More

The clerk was very nice and friendly, I had a few questions and he took the time to explain them, When I said I was going to take a taxi to universal he advised against it and advised to to take the metro red line which he said near by. My room was quit and clean, it's right across from... More

The motel was good value, it was clean and looked to be newly decorated. The a/c is really noisy but the shower was great. Although it is on sunset it's quite far from points of interest, we found that you had to drive in LA and add to the already hectic traffic. You can walk to the walk of fame... More

The motel is fine - rooms have (noisy) A/C, but the bed was comfortable enough. The area around is not worth to be visited...this motel is just a good starting point, but then you have to drive before reaching any interesting spot. We walked from there to the "walk of fame", but it was definitely not close. Breakfast is rather... More

The motel itself was nice and clean. The parking was interesting but we always had a space. The office staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast hours are only 8:00-10:00 & busy during this minimal time. No coffee maker in room, would have appreciated one. We are from a suburb of Houston and this area of LA scared us. There are... I would like to thank Paco and his crew for the good times me and my girlfriend had at Sunset Blvd's America's Best Value Inn. The location is very ok, near many famous places and you can find anything you want (fast food, drugstores, small and big markets, etc) in 1 to 3 blocks away from it. The place is... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
