As expected from what I saw on Tripadvisor it was quite, next to hollywood blvd but you don't feel it. Clean and tidy - no issues except a little error within their staff, someone came to our bedroom in a private moment to fix a bill issue...not very professional. Also, I would appreciate some real air-con instead of a ridiculous... More

We stayed 2 nights during our road trip and the location was just amazing. We could park in the backyard and after 2 minutes walk, we were at the Chinese Theatre. Very nice staff and both employees and other guests were very helpful. Everything was very clean. We loved the atmosphere at Orange Drive Hostel. No doubt about we would... More

A hostel with character as its a former hotel I believe. Clean modernised room and private bathroom felt secure and reasonably quiet given Hollywood Blvd is around the corner. LA metro, bus lines a short walk away so good access to downtown, Universal and Boulevard. Kitchen area too small but outdoor garden area is a bonus.

I stayed in this hostel for four nights and it was honestly amazing. Pedro made me feel welcome and comfortable immediately and went out of his way to make sure I was okay. Room and bathrooms are always clean, linen is fresh. I would stay again!

Stayed here for 2 nights recently in a private room. Location is absolutely perfect, literally around the corner from Hollywood and Highland. Hollywood Blvd is a bit sketchy, but if you like the tourist traps (like me) then you'll love the location. The hostel was very welcoming and informative, providing information about the hostel policies as well as local information,... More

Hello, We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our hostel. We appreciate your review and feedback. But in fairness to our entire staff both male and female and to our hostel, please understand that when you hear only part of a conversation that it can be taken out of context, as is the case with this situation.... I had a nice stay at this hostel. Clean room and kitchen. I had a safe feeling, if you know that Hollywood blv is just a minute away. It's close (5min walk) to the red line metro who brings you in 10 min to Universal Studios and in 25min to the train station downtown. To go to the Getty it's... More

This is one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in! It used to be an single-family mansion and then was a boarding house and it still holds some of the original "charm" of an older home. There are an assortment of rooms, from shared bunks to private ensuite. Large living room, several outdoor sitting areas and a decent-sized... More

I do not think that the Orange Drive Hostel is the best place I have ever stayed. However, the staff was nice, the sleep was good, the building very interesting and the location... well, that was the best part. As they say: location, location location (especially when it comes to hotels!) Not only is it right around the corner from... More

I can honestly say that I have never had a better experience staying in a hostel before. The staff were beyond helpful and super friendly! the bedroom were comfortable. They offered free waffles and oatmeal for breakfast and free WI-FI, and only a minute walk to Hollywood Boulevarde seriously what more could you need! I really hope to be able... More

I really cant rate this property High enough and would definitely stay here next time I visit Hollywood. We booked a private room with ensuite which I would definately do again! Great location literally a few minutes walk from the walk of fame and Chinese TCL theatre with Hollywood and Highland shopping complex RIGHT there. We had the chance to... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
