First of all neffie at the front desk is fantastic! Everyone else I saw at the front desk was fine apart from an Asian man who kept trying to sell us tours! Location is fine although I would stay further up the bolouvard as the general surrounding area is dirty and smelly would not leave this hotel at night either,... More

Both the room and bathroom looked very good and clean. Unfortunately the bathroom door couldn't be closed in my room. Breakfast was really simple, not a lot of choice. Except for that I was very pleased with the hotel. It's only one block from Hollywood Boulevard. A subway station was very close (within a 5 minutes walk), and several nearby... More

We selected this Inn in Los Angeles because it included the breakfast with a rate similar to other hotels not offering it. After our stay we considered it was a wrong decision! The breakfast was the worst experience we had at Hotel Hollywood. It was definitely not what you could expect: starting too late in the morning, not very rich... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was and how comfortable the bed was. Given the location and outward appearance, we were pretty hesitant. It's very close to the night life in Hollywood. Parking was decent. There are places to eat in walking distance and a view of the Hollywood... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Yes, I was hesitant at first in staying there. However, upon my arrival the hotel clerk was friendly and made me feel welcome during my stay. For this hotel's location and the price you pay for the room it is worth it. The plus to staying at this hotel is you get... More

The Hotel Hollywood is between a 3 and a 4 rating. It is a quaint small, hotel on Yucca St. in Hollywood. If I were rating the location, I would give it a 4 because it is close to the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Blvd. drag. However, I gave it a 3 because they have no elevator and... More

This is a nice hotel. The staff is very friendly, it is located near some supermarkets and a gasstation (convenient if you travel by car). The Hotel Hollywood is also near Hollywood boulevard and Santa Monica boulevard. Metro stations are nearby (Hollywood Vine or High). I do not eat very much at breakfast so this breakfast (bagels, fruit, yogurt, coffee,... More

I'm an artist and I work while I travel. Naturally I don't carry my finished work with me but after my stay at the hotel Hollywood maybe I should. I'd placed a finished drawing on a table by the bed. Since I didn't use the table I thought the drawing would be safe there. How wrong I was. While I... More

Apart from the fact that the hotel has no elevator (but we knew that), it fulfilled our expectations. We have sent a message with our reservation that because we were going with heavy luggage, we wanted a downstairs room, but the staff didn't read our message and had located us in a room on the third floor. We told him... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
