If you want to stay next to the ocean and do not want to pay a fortune, this hotel is a good choice. A small boutique type hotel just next to the Venice Beach, where there is lot of activities. A nice weather frond, pier and beach etc. Hotel is good, clean with friendly and the needed service. Close to... More

Great friendly service. Clean room ( smelt clean) and very comfortable. Had a great view of the beach and pier. Great location close to restaurants. Wished we did not have to leave so early. We would have had a bike ride. Front desk man happily got breakfast ready for us the night before and gave tips where to go that... More

The location cannot be beat--right on the ocean at the quiet end of Venice Beach. The rooftop deck lets you relax and watch the surfers while enjoying the hotel's continental breakfast or an afternoon tea. Rooms were clean though on the smaller size as one would expect from a boutique hotel. The in-room fridge was a nice convenience. Definitely reserve... More

We had a very enjoyable stay on the LA portion of our world tour. Right on the beach and near LAX was great. The WiFi was awesome and having parking out the front was great. The rooms were clean if not sometimes a little sandy under foot. The stay was hassle free except for travelling for 12 hours on the... More

We had a two day stop over in LA on our way from Melbourne to New York. Situated about half an hour from the airport depending on traffic, cab fares should cost around $40 in daytime traffic however, we left early(6am) and the cab charge was $25. This cool little hotel was a perfect place to relax. Located on the... More

I saw some bad reviews.... there are other hotels with air condition, but not at this price in LA and on the beach !!! Price/service relation is more than 100 % in this small hotel; very kind manager; We'll be back!

Nice, cosy hotel. Medium size room, rather small king size bed. Both the room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was fine; especially the fact that you can have it on the rooftop terrace (ocean view!) is a nice extra! The location (right on the beach) is fantastic. Definitely a nice place, totally recommendable.

This is a great place to stay. You can't get a much better location, with the beach literally on your doorstep right in the middle of Venice beach just near the famous pier. Clean room, good price and there is a super friendly and helpful on site manager who lives there to help with anything you may need. Highly recommended

I liked the hotel, it was really a neat experience, but due to the poor sleep each night, we will not be back. The whole point of a hotel is to sleep there so for sleep, I give it negative stars. For the room, 3 stars because it was cute and decorated well but small. For the staff/location and everything... More

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
