The rooms where so comfortable here and it was so close to the walk of fame. It was very clean and the staff where very friendly. We where served breakfast in the rooms which was nice but there wasn't much of a variety. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

I just stayed in Hollywood with friends for a week. We wanted to stay somewhere that was safe but not expensive. I booked this hotel as the more popular Days Inn was sold out. The hotel itself is fine. The buildings are old but have been renovated, and have a nice TV and good bathroom. There is a fridge in... More

I am amazed at the negative reviews about this place. My Husband and I spent 4 very enjoyable nights here. Its in a great location just 2 blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and all the attractions. Yes there are alot of homeless hanging around but we had no problem with them and they caused us no problem either. If you had... More

Here I go again in a rodeway inn. Think I would have learned the first time. The price is the only thing going for this place. And the location I guess. The inside wasn't a great sight to see but it's a place to sleep while saving your pennies on an LA vaca. So if you don't have a ton... More

Arrived at 4 and room was ready. Location was a little scary but once inside the room, not horrible. Toilet clogged on first flush and when I told the front desk, guy looked at me like I had 4 heads. I asked for a plunger and fixed it myself. Short walk to Hollywood, 2 blocks. Easy and close and other... More

So after researching the area hotels prior to my trip, I found the Roadway Inn to be a decent price for the area, and with mixed reviews...I thought what the heck. I checked in around 4pm on an unusually hot day in Los Angeles (104). Went to my 2nd floor room, and found the room hotter than outside. It took... More

We stayed here in June and loved this place. Very casual and the 4 couples that stayed were able to meet at the pool daily for a catch up and drinks. Very clean and only 1 block from Hollywood Bvld. Great service from the office guy. We knew it wouldn't be like the Ritz but cleanliness, location and the price... More

Rooms were very average, they advertise they have just been refurbished but this is false, lots of homeless outside the hotel, very noisy. Cleaners didn't clean rooms until 5pm which was very inconvenient, especially when you have to get out of your rooms for them to clean after a day of sightseeing and sore feet. Breakfast is not even worth... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, we travel from Las Vegas to hollywood with myself, my husband and 5 children aged 7-16yrs. The hotel was very pleasant the pool was lovely. The one major disappointment was breakfast...in my eyes there was none, juice was a Capri sun, and there was stodgy muffins with one toaster which held 2... More

Friendly check-in staff but that was it. Very dated rooms. At 3am, guests in room next to ours were very disruptive!!! The motel parking lot was full, so I was asked to park my car in the shared overflow parking lot next door. The check-in staff said the lot was safe and under surveillance. In the morning I found one... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
