Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. The room was clean and looked recently renovated. Bed sheets, blankets, and towels were very clean as well compared to other motels in the area. The only disappointing thing was that there was no sink in the bathroom (double queen bed room) and it was located right outside the bathroom... More

Stayed two nights while road tripping through California. Located near Thai Town, it is one short block away from the metro and a CVS. Griffith Park is less than ten minutes away, there are a ton of food options within a couple mile radius, and it was surprisingly quiet. Parking can be an issue. While there is free parking, it... The hotel is in perfect location to visit the Hollywood. It is also in walking distance to the metro and great Thai restaurants. The room was big and clean in general. There was some dirt on the back of noisy fridge which I unplugged just after coming into the room. There was a huge flat screen and the bed was... More

We stayed here for just 1 night out of the 3 we booked & paid for. The photos on Booking.com made the place look ok & I booked it for the convenience of being near Hollywood. We arrived & having seen the outside we were already a bit dubious. The area is quite run down & the exterior is also... More

I loved the hotel for it's central location. Very close to Metro station. Griffith Observatory and Paramount Pictures (where I took a tour) are not that far away - I walked to both sites from the hotel. Hollywood / Western Metro Station (red line) takes you to Hollywood walk of fame, Universal Studios and Downtown. But it takes a long... More

stayed at the City Inn over 5 times now, and its my favorite place when in LA. Extremely helpful staff, super nice management, clean room and amazing location. Less the 2 minutes walk to METRO RAIL, and on both ends of N western Ave u will find countless opportunities to shop for groceries, clothing, or what ever u may need.... More

The hotel is not very near hollywood boulebard, but you can get there in a 5 minute undreground ride. The service is not great but, for a price like that there is not much you can expect. all in all, its a just what you can expect.

Nice hotel, parking lot for your car, simply breakfest (need to take it to your room or the pool). Big bedroom, free WiFi. The room was new, clean, fair price. Walk of fame it is near, near to the metro. Easy to go to Universal studio from there. A good place to stay to sleep and during the day get... More

We spent one night here in April. The room was clean and the bathroom was small but clean as well. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is located in a very convenient spot, walking distance to several restaurants and a Metro Station. We got a very good price for our overnight stay and were satisfied overall with our experience.

Must have a mix of mattresses as ours was harder than a rock yet the other room for rest of the group had nice soft mattresses. Free parking....if you can get a space. Staff were lovely and nice and the continental breakfast was good. Note shower over bathtub was great so the little one could have a bath

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
