This is a great little hotel which offers lovely rooms for a very reasonable price. The staff there were very helpful and kind. We stayed on the Hollywood city Inn for 2 nights. The location of the hotel was really good not far away from touristic areas on the city. This hotel has things to improve, but the product value was... More

We stayed here in August for 4 nights and found the hotel fine. We like to travel and found this hotel to be reasonably priced and in a good location to see and get to sights. The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool is nice to jump into after a long day sightseeing. The metro (subway) is 4 minutes... More

Clean and spacious rooms, with clean wooden floors, and wonderful oasis of swimming pool, perfect after a busy, long and fun day! Great location two minutes from metro station for Universal studios and Hollywood Blvd. Very helpful staff who assisted us with information for a city tour bus, and travel to Universal studios using the metro which was very easy.... don't try it! I paid an average of $180 per night in a place accettable only for backpackers ( but not for that money!). One of the worst places I've ever been. Outside the building is written " new rooms" not mine! Old and dirty, a lot of dust in the air conditioner. Bed smell in the room and in... More

Took my grandkids to Hollywood and found that this Hotel visit worked really well. Close to underground services (one block). Driving in LA is outrageous. We managed to do Chinatown, Olvera Street, Hollywood Blvd n Vine, a Hollywood Premiere, etc on the subway. After the traffic hours, we managed to do Paramount Studios, Forum, Farmer's Market, Hollywood Sign, La Brea... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. The room was clean and looked recently renovated. Bed sheets, blankets, and towels were very clean as well compared to other motels in the area. The only disappointing thing was that there was no sink in the bathroom (double queen bed room) and it was located right outside the bathroom... More

Stayed two nights while road tripping through California. Located near Thai Town, it is one short block away from the metro and a CVS. Griffith Park is less than ten minutes away, there are a ton of food options within a couple mile radius, and it was surprisingly quiet. Parking can be an issue. While there is free parking, it... The hotel is in perfect location to visit the Hollywood. It is also in walking distance to the metro and great Thai restaurants. The room was big and clean in general. There was some dirt on the back of noisy fridge which I unplugged just after coming into the room. There was a huge flat screen and the bed was... More

We stayed here for just 1 night out of the 3 we booked & paid for. The photos on Booking.com made the place look ok & I booked it for the convenience of being near Hollywood. We arrived & having seen the outside we were already a bit dubious. The area is quite run down & the exterior is also... More

I loved the hotel for it's central location. Very close to Metro station. Griffith Observatory and Paramount Pictures (where I took a tour) are not that far away - I walked to both sites from the hotel. Hollywood / Western Metro Station (red line) takes you to Hollywood walk of fame, Universal Studios and Downtown. But it takes a long... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
