The MoonPad Hostel has clean bathrooms, bedrooms, and a very convenient location. The staff were very helpful and provided me with everything that I needed. All together great value provided at a fair price for the location.

I initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying a week. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were attentive and nice. The location was easy to find and very close to the metro. My room had a nice view of downtown LA. It was a comfty stay and I'd def stay again.

There is serious issues in the way the hostel is running. We didn't have electricity for more than 2 days, had no sheets (except kid's size), some mastress are air mastress, we couldn't have breakfast at 8 o'clock due to someone sleeping on the livingroom, we waited half and hour without any explanations before we have a room to put... Don't go. Those people will do everything they can to get your money, we struggled during almost one year to get money back from a booking we had cancelled well in advanced. They refused to answer to any communication (email, phone, etc). Eventually we had to get the bank to reverse the transfer based on the conversation we had with... More

This was a nightmare of a shady hostel. On arrival there was no obvious sign to say what it was. I ended up knocking next door which looked like another type of hostel for dodgy characters. Finally checked in while trying to remain positive. I was given a walk around and it looked like most of the people sitting about... More

They have any manager or workers. Even when we check in and out there was no one. It's not cheap of its service and situation. Even late night people drinking and make noise. Also police are come and check in hostel but workers don't tell what's happen in there. It was terrible place i ever.

I arrived in LA in August 2014, as a student, for visit classes of acting skill. My biggest mistake move to MoonPad Hostel! Because the first time in my life I was bitten here by bedbugs and mites bitten me to the point that on my skin was scary to watch! After a week from my check in, had to... More

After having stayed at many like places around the U S ,I found that like any REAL place it is in use 24 hours by the guests and MUST be treated as your best friends home when staying with them,THEY are not there to serve you but to provide a place to take care of yourself,Which means you clean up... It was the worst hostel ever. Disgusting and dirty. There are no lockers or even no keys in the rooms. Everything is open including the main exit doors. We didn't feel save. Our room was dirty - we didn't get any clean towels, bedlinen - cos they told us that they don't have anything clean. Kitchen was dirty, with lots... More
